Global Sumud Flotilla participants say they were punched, kicked, dragged across the floor with their hands tied, and shot at with real and rubber bullets on board an Israeli warship after they were kidnapped in international waters more than 500 nautical miles from Gaza. While interception was violent for many, participants say the worst treatment came when they peacefully resisted moves to abduct organisers Thiago Avila and Saif Abukeshek, who are still detained. 34 wounded participants - including two Brits - have been taken to hospital in Crete, flotilla organisers said, with broken bones and other injuries. One participant was reportedly knocked unconscious for several minutes, while another has serious injuries to their neck. Several have broken ribs and noses, and some appear to be wearing blood-stained clothes. Nearly 200 others are still being held on buses by Greek authorities, with the government accused of “cooperating fully” with Israel. Avila and Abukeshek’s partners said on Friday that they fear for the activists’ safety. Avila, who is Brazilian, sailed to Israel in autumn 2025 and was detained for several days, receiving particularly harsh treatment in Ketziot prison. Abukeshek has Spanish and Swedish nationality but is of Palestinian descent. He was on board an observer boat and did not intend to go all the way to Gaza. He did not sail last time. Abukeshek, who lives in Spain, has three small children, his partner told journalists. Avila has a baby daughter. Greek politician Yanis Varoufakis slammed his government on X, saying it was working with Israel. “Meanwhile, the Greek government is cooperating fully in Israel’s criminal behaviour,” he wrote, “effectively surrendering its search and rescue obligations and conniving with Israel to victimise the brave crews of the Sumud Flotilla.” During 40 hours on board the Israeli frigate, activists say they were denied adequate food and water and forced to sleep on the floor, which was repeatedly and deliberately flooded. 60 participants are now on hunger strike in protest at their treatment. Flotilla organisers say the remaining boats - only 22 of 57 were intercepted - will continue to Gaza.

Following a violent raid in international waters, Saif Abukeshek and Thiago Ávila have reportedly been taken by Israeli forces and transported to Israel, where their fate remains unknown. Over 180 civilians across 22 boats were intercepted after naval forces boarded vessels, disabled engines and navigation systems, and disrupted communications. Most individuals are now being released, while some have been taken to hospital for treatment. BREAKING: The Israeli naval vessel that abducted the 180 Sumud Flotilla crews off the coast of Crete (an act of piracy and a gross violation of the Law of the Sea) is intend on victimising two of them: Saif Abukeshek, a Spanish citizen of Palestinian origin, and Thiago Ávila, a Brazilian citizen who has distinguished himself with repeated attempts to break the illegal, genocidal, Israeli blockage of Gaza. Unlike the remaining abducted members of the Sumud Flotilla crew, which the Israeli navy disembarked in Crete, Saif and Thiago are detained and bound for an Israeli prison. This is a double violation of International Law: First, Israel abducted them illegally at sea. Second, Israel is now transporting them, violently, illegally, to one of its notorious prisons. Meanwhile, the Greek government is cooperating fully in Israel’s criminal behaviour, effectively surrendering its search and rescue obligations and conniving with Israel to victimise the brave crews of the Sumud Flotilla who are steadfastly, through their activism, defending International Law as well as the verdict of the International Court of Justice which has clearly and unequivocally declared Israel’s continued naval blockade of Gaza and its occupation of the Palestinian territories illegal. Through their complicity and their silence, the Greek government, the European Union, the mainstream media, the West more generally, are flouting, indeed they are trashing, their supposed, much publicised, ‘Western values’. Let us all demand: · The immediate release of Saif and Thiago · An end to Israel’s criminal behaviour in international waters · The termination of Israel’s illegal Gaza blockade · That the Greek government and the European Union cease and desist from lending logistical and moral support to Israel’s genocide in Gaza and its ethnic cleansing campaigns in E. Jerusalem and the West Bank

🚨🇪🇺 The European Commission is about to steal your search history in one of the largest forced data grabs in the history of the open internet, and almost nobody is talking about it. The scope is staggering: 🔴 Every query you type 🔴 Every voice and photo search 🔴 Every autocomplete you accept 🔴 Your language, your device 🔴 Your country pinned to a ~3km² grid 🔴 Every result you saw, every link you hovered 🔴 Every click and scroll 🔴 The full chronological order of your search sessions Meaning the European Union now knows your: 🔴 Health symptoms 🔴 Pregnancy 🔴 Sexual orientation 🔴 Political views 🔴 Religious beliefs 🔴 Financial distress 🔴 Legal trouble 🔴 Addictions 🔴 Affairs Under the proposed measures for DMA Article 6(11), Google would be ordered to ship the daily search behaviour of hundreds of millions of Europeans to multiple third parties through a daily API feed. Any approved "online search engine," AI chatbots included, would get five years of access. The things people only ever type when they think no one is watching. All of it now scheduled to flow daily into an open-ended list of third parties scattered across the European Union. Brussels promises "anonymisation." The reality is a thin technical veneer that has been broken in academic literature again and again for over a decade. Search behaviour is a fingerprint. Stripping a name does not change that. Mass data leaks become inevitable. Every new beneficiary is a new attack surface, and every annual audit is a year of silent exposure between checks. The 2025 Discord vendor breach already showed how fast 70,000 government IDs can leak through a single weak link. Now imagine that link holding Europe's search history. Surveillance without consent becomes the default. Hundreds of millions of EU citizens never agreed to have their queries packaged and shipped to companies they have never heard of. The legal fiction of "anonymisation" cannot manufacture consent that was never given. Behavioural search data is a goldmine for phishing, blackmail, social engineering, and corporate espionage. Foreign intelligence services get a back door without effort. They do not need to breach Google. They only need to compromise the weakest name on the beneficiary list. One insolvent startup. One compromised contractor. One approved entity quietly acquired by a hostile state. In the name of "competition," the EU is about to manufacture a permanent, distributed, daily-refreshed copy of Europe's collective search history. A surveillance dataset Brussels itself would never approve if any other government tried to build it. The public consultation closes Friday, May 1, 2026 at 23:59 CEST. The final binding decision lands July 27, 2026. After that, the door does not close again. Tag your MEPs! File a response! Make noise!

Leaked documents revealed Meta made $16 BILLION from running scam ads they refused to take down. And they just fired 8,000 employees to "cut costs." Think about this for a second... Meta's own internal projections estimated that 10.1% of ALL their 2024 revenue came from ads promoting scams, illegal gambling, fake e-commerce, and banned medical products. 10% of everything they earned. From fraud. Their platforms showed users 15 BILLION high-risk scam ads per DAY. And Meta literally did the math on this. One internal document laid it out cold: "We're making $3.5 billion every six months from high-risk scam ads in the United States alone. That almost certainly exceeds the cost of any regulatory settlement involving scam ads." So what they're saying: The fines are cheaper than the revenue. Keep running the scams. Leadership went even further. They created an internal cap limiting how aggressively staff could fight fraud. The internal rule: Don't take actions that would eliminate more than $135 million in scam ad revenue per quarter. Sounds like a lot until you realize Meta was making $16 BILLION a year from these scam ads. $135 million is less than 1% of that. Their fraud team was allowed to stop less than 1% of the fraud. The other 99% was off limits. Employees whose literal job was stopping fraud were told that they can only stop THIS much fraud. No more. Their own documents estimate Meta was involved in approximately one-third of all successful scams in the United States. One out of every three Americans who got scammed in 2024 got scammed through Facebook or Instagram. The scam operations were global: - A $500 million pump-and-dump investment scheme running through Facebook ads - Deepfake celebrity endorsements selling fake products - Crypto fraud targeting retirees - Southeast Asian criminal networks generating 16% of global scam traffic through WhatsApp All of it monetized. All of it tracked internally. All of it allowed to continue because it was profitable. In 2024, Meta's executives proposed a "reduction plan." Not to eliminate scam revenue but to reduce it from 10.1% to 7.3% by 2025, then 5.8% by 2027. Their target wasn't zero. Their target was "slightly less fraud." Meta spokesperson Andy Stone called the leaked documents "a selective view that distorts Meta's approach to fraud and scams." He said the 10% estimate was "rough and overly-inclusive." But the lawsuits don't think so. Meta is now facing active litigation in the US, Australia, and the UK. The Australian case alone covers losses from celebrity deepfake investment scams. The UK case targets financial professional impersonation. The US cases span everything from crypto fraud to fake product ads. And here's where it gets really disgusting: Yesterday, Meta announced it's firing 8,000 employees. 10% of the entire workforce. Another 6,000 open roles were cancelled. The reason? "To run the company more efficiently and to offset the other investments we're making." Those "other investments" are AI. But Meta doesn't have a money problem. They have $16 billion in scam revenue they CHOSE to keep. They could've cleaned it up. But they ran the math and decided fraud was more profitable than integrity. Then they turned around and told 8,000 people there wasn't room in the budget for them. You don't get to pocket $16 billion from fraud you refused to stop and then fire people for "efficiency." That's not cost-cutting. Scam money stays. People go. AI gets $135 billion. That's Meta's priority list. And keep in mind: Those leaked documents are about 2024. With 2026-level AI, scam ads are cheaper to produce, harder to detect, and more convincing than ever. And Meta is simultaneously BUILDING the AI tools that make these scams better while firing the humans whose job was to catch them. The $16 billion number is just the floor.

In 2007 Gawker outed Peter Thiel as gay. In 2016 Thiel secretly funded $10M in lawsuits that bankrupted them. This week he funded the AI that grades journalists. Here's what's inside it: 1/ It's called Objection. The founder is Aron D'Souza, the same lawyer who personally ran the Gawker takedown for Thiel. 2/ Backers include Peter Thiel and Balaji Srinivasan. 3/ Anyone pays $2,000 to trigger a "public investigation" of any reporter. 4/ The "investigators" are former FBI, NSA, and CIA officers. 5/ The jury is a panel of AIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, and xAI. 6/ The output is an "Honor Index" score on the journalist. 7/ Anonymous whistleblowers are ranked dead last in the evidence weighting. 8/ Corporate emails and government filings are ranked at the top. 9/ What used to take 5-10 years in court, they say, now takes 72 hours. The man who spent a decade using the legal system to destroy a newsroom just automated the process. Surveillance-state veterans score the reporter. AI trained by Thiel and Musk renders the verdict. Whistleblowers count least. Power's paper trail counts most. Speech for me. A score for thee.

I get so tired of seeing these endless ads on 'becoming rich'. What about doing something purposeful? Something fulfilling? It's so embarrassing to me that so many can only talk about making money as if it's the only thing they live for. It's very telling.

If you think this Peter Thiel-backed "AI tribunal of truth" is going to be objective regarding inconvenient narratives about Thiel and his pals and the entities they contract for (e.g. the CIA, the IDF, etc.), you might be an idiot. The truth about Thiel and his network could honestly not be more unflattering and the only reason they have not been widely condemned for being the psychopaths they are is because of extensive (and expensive) narrative management and clever deception. This AI "tribunal" is merely a new toy for that arsenal.

‼️🇪🇺 The EU's new Age Verification app was hacked with little to no effort. When you set it up, the app asks you to create a PIN. But that PIN isn't actually tied to the identity data it's supposed to protect. An attacker can delete a couple of entries from a file on the phone, restart the app, pick a new PIN, and the app happily hands over the original user's verified identity credentials as if nothing happened. It gets worse. The app's "too many attempts" lockout is just a counter in a text file. Reset it to 0 and keep guessing. The biometric check (face/fingerprint) is a simple on/off switch in the same file. Flip it to off and the app skips it entirely.
