Last week my husband Senator Adam Hinojosa and I had the honor of recognizing an outstanding group of educators from @FlourBluffISD . We were proud to present certificates to the 2026 Teachers of the Year for the incredible impact they’re making in their classrooms and across their campuses.

Great morning at the State of the Brownsville Police Department. Thankful for the officers who serve with heart and keep our communities safe every day!

Yesterday was a major win for Texas. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has upheld SB 10, affirming the right to display the Ten Commandments in our classrooms. The Ten Commandments have played a significant role in shaping Western civilization, as well as the moral and legal foundation of our country. Bringing this historical document back into public school classrooms helps provide clarity on the values and principles that influenced American history and law. Last year, I even had the opportunity to personally help my husband, Senator Adam Hinojosa deliver these posters to classrooms across his district, seeing that impact firsthand made it even more meaningful. This is a great day for Texas and for the future of our students.

In a truly shocking moment at the Texas State Board of Education social studies debate Democrat memebr Staci Childs agrees to work with CAIR, a foreign terrorist org. (Designated by the United Arab Emirates, Florida, and Texas), on Muslim changes to history standards.

After over 13 hours, I finally got the chance to testify before the State Board of Education to express my strong support for teaching American and Texas Exceptionalism in our Social Studies standards. If we fail to teach where our rights come from, we risk raising a generation that does not understand, nor value them. I also urged the Board to stand firm against ideological agendas that seek to reshape our distort our history standards. We MUST hold the line!

Radical groups are mobilizing to influence the upcoming TX SBOE curriculum vote on Apr. 7. They are pushing to reshape how history and literature are taught in Texas classrooms. But Texas refuses to indoctrinate our kids!

Today I had the honor, as a fellow veteran, to attend the unaccompanied burial of U.S. Navy veteran Pamela Sue Lundmark. No one who served our country should ever be laid to rest alone. Proud to stand with our community to ensure she was honored with the dignity she deserves. 🇺🇸

I had the opportunity to briefly talk about my race for State Board of Education District 2, and Adam provided a legislative update on current issues impacting our communities. What a great day in Bishop! Between the parade, the start of baseball season, and visiting with so many wonderful people, it was a fantastic time. Today I was honored to attend an event where Governor @GregAbbott_TX , supported by AT&T and Compudopt, distributed 150 laptops to seniors at the @LosFresnosCISD Preforming Arts Center. These students demonstrated that they're either ready to go to college or ready to go straight into a careers. 💻👏👏
