Life update: I’ve moved to Ottawa. Mostly to find out if the shawarma claims are true but also to help the government do government things.

Conservatives in 1867: We will do whatever it takes to build a railway from coast to coast, through muskegs and mountains to unify this country. Conservatives in 2026: We will fight tooth and nail against building a railway on flat land that would connect ~50% of population.

there is a group on Facebook dedicated to people who want to make their modest mobile home as beautiful as they can and I’m obsessed with the sweet and gentle nature of all the comments and sharing 😭

Many more highlights, but in general I loved this theme! So much talk of ai art, apps to cure human loneliness, algorithms to optimize every interaction, we’re getting so good at it that purely human interactions will be a choice and it’s one that I’m making.
