As someone who completed a 5 year surgical residency, normal people don’t quit when they’re 6 months from finishing unless there’s a major red flag. Additionally, people with those red flags shouldn’t be surgeon general.

I’m starting to realize I may not love sushi as much as I thought and that I really just need a reason to have spicy mayo

Btwn 1985 and 2015 a study (that controlled for experience, team performance, etc) showed white coaches were ~ 2X as likely to be promoted than underrepresented coaches. Still, some teams treat the #RooneyRule as a checkbox and some fans disapprove of this measure of equity.
