I don’t disagree with teaching phonics or with SoR. I disagree with a THIS OR THAT perspective on teaching and also with pitting educators against one another. I’m very much concerned with HOW foundational literacy skills are taught to multilingual learners.

#T2Tchat Q6 Teachers need more support & appreciation. They are buried in new routines, procedures and tasks related to COVID safety. In addition to their stressors, they are supporting students with significant stressors. Compassion fatigue is real and this year on steroids.
