In a country where the government has no regard for skilled professionals like doctors. Doctors begins to prioritise their safety over the patient's no matter the costs. These patients begin to take health matters into their own hands. Some survives, some dies. Unfortunately, the upcoming doctors follow the trend in search for safety and medicine suffers it's essence. The mortality rates increases, Hospitals crumble due to lack of skilled personnel. But we forget to ask : To the doctor; if this patient was your brother will you still prioritise your safety? To the patient, if the doctor was your dad, does he deserve this level of demeaning treatment? with these questions, we begin to understand each other to see that we only have one problem-which is BAD GOVERNANCE. "Your future doctor is using ChatGPT to pass med school" is honestly such an ignorant and disrespectful statement. Med school is not an online CBT where somebody just types prompts and graduates. Medical students spend years reading thousands of pages of textbooks, attending lectures for hours, writing continuous assessments, practicals, oral examinations, essays, OSCEs, clinical exams, and multiple professional exams where failure can literally delay your graduation by years. After preclinical years, you enter postings where you wake up early, stand for hours in wards, attend clinics, take patient histories, examine real patients, present cases before consultants, get drilled publicly by senior doctors, go on calls, barely sleep, and still return home to memorise ridiculous volumes of information. Students have always used resources; textbooks, Google, YouTube ,study groups, past questions AI simply became another tool. Acting like future doctors are being manufactured by ChatGPT is insulting to people sacrificing years of their lives, mental health, sleep, and sanity to survive one of the most demanding courses in the world. No AI is standing in the ward till 8 PM during calls. No AI is examining patients. No AI is getting screamed at during case presentations. No AI is sitting professional exams for anybody. Actual human beings are.
