Start spreading the news… 🗽 USATF announces that the 2026 U.S. Outdoor Championships will be held at Icahn Stadium in New York City from July 23-26. This is the first time New York City has hosted a national track and field championships since the 1991 Athletics Congress of the USA Championship at Downing Stadium. Eugene, Oregon, which has hosted the national championships since 2021, will again host USAs in 2027 to select the team for the 2027 World Championships in Beijing, China.

I received this picture as I was driving home in the rain, and it instantly took me back to 2016. I was driving to the AirBNB with a young man who had just been eliminated from the U17 World Team Trials. He came to the tournament with high hopes, but it didn’t go as planned. Sometimes, in those moments, words don’t do much—what’s needed is simply being there for athletes who come up short. Fast forward nine years, and here we are again, walking down the back hallway after the final match of his college career. I can't express enough how grateful I am to Keegan O'Toole for letting me be part of his journey. Yes, he faced setbacks along the way (as we all do), but he was the type of athlete every coach dreams of—dedicated, always putting in the work, supporting those around him, and consistently asking the right questions to push himself forward. Congratulations on an incredible career, Keegan. Thank you for letting me be part of it
