Never stop saying "dozen" and "half dozen". Never stop using the word you read in an old novella. Never stop using your regional jargon. Don't succumb to an internationalized English stripped of its whimsy and romanticism in the name of streamlining global commerce.

I don't understand the point of using the term "dozen". It means 12, so just say 12? It's even worse when people say or type "half a dozen". Just say 6 or six.

@WallStreetApes If you’re looking for entry level cashier, grocery store, food service job etc., stop putting your college degree on your resume. Those places don’t typically hire people with 4 year degrees b/c they know you’ll always be looking for a different job & dont plan on sticking around

This is how bad the job market is “I just got denied a job from Target. I have a f*cking bachelor's degree. I spent 4 years on a bachelor's degree, and — I can't get a cashier's job. I cannot get a minimum wage job” This is not uncommon. On average in 2026, Americans must apply for over 100 jobs before being hired In tough fields that number climbs to 100-200+ on average She says she was interested in getting a Masters but if she cent even get a cashiers job with a bachelors degree, what’s the point

@sourpatchlyds I would say it’s common courtesy to leave the room if your kid is crying during a ceremony. It would be pretty selfish to stay and not only refuse to calm your kid down in another room but disrupt a wedding ceremony for the couple and everyone else around you
