Panama City makes it easy to spend more than you need to. Between high-end neighborhoods, imported groceries, and everyday convenience, costs can creep up. But with adjustments, it’s easy to bring them back down. Here’s where expats usually get it wrong.

@Mr_Isaach @academic_la “That's six months. Not weeks. Not months.”
If six months isn’t “months” then what is it? A demi-year?
English

@academic_la Delta canceled flights until September. That's six months. Not weeks. Not months. September. The people who make money moving people in and out of Israel have looked at the situation and said this isn't ending. When the airlines stop betting on your safety, it's time to ask why.

#Panama is the only Central American country in this list of the top countries in the world with the most bird species registered but #CostaRica has over 900 species registered and should be here instead of South Africa.
Maybe new species were recorded on #CentroamerícaBigDay!

Sancocho is the default comfort food in Panama, served at home, in restaurants, and after long nights out. This is the version you can make anywhere 🍲

Easter in Honduras may not get the same attention as some of its neighbors, but Semana Santa traditions here are just as rich. Cities like Comayagua and Tegucigalpa host some of the country’s most memorable Semana Santa traditions:

@thealepalombo Love this thread. I fell in love with the city of Modena a few years back. Visited for a long weekend just before Christmas. Loved the misty streets at that time of year and the whole vibe of the place.

I'm Italian. I just got back from Rome.
Over dinner, old friends and I started arguing about the same thing we always argue about: which cities in Italy are genuinely incredible but nobody ever talks about?
We went back and forth for hours. By the end of the night, we had a list.
7 hidden cities that most people, including most Italians, will never think to visit, let alone move to.
No crowds. No tourist markup. Insane quality of life.

One "family friendly" aspect of Latin America I've never seen in the USA:
Trampolines in the park.
Basically a guy will set up a trampoline every morning and that it down every night. It's his business and you pay maybe 10 pesos to use it.
Obviously in the USA you'd need a "permit" and "insurance" but in LATAM it's totally normal and everybody wins.
