After 20 years of my family and friends supporting me whilst I worked hard(ish), I'm delighted, honoured and excited to have accepted a consultant job at @RWT_NHS in Paeds ED.
Such a surreal moment but have celebrated with plant purchases and a lovely evening with the hubby!
Reasons why Paediatrics is the best specialty to work in:
One of your favourite Registrars treats the team to Ice Cream on a Friday Afternoon 😁 thank you @sahitikoneru#ChoosePaediatrics
@mevparekh Hiiii from another MK F1 (you were F2 and gave us such a warm welcome talk on our first day ☺️). So nice to read this tweet, thank you for sharing it. And congratulations 😊 xxx
Graduated med school in 2010
Took a year out, I was 100% med student in difficulty and couldn't face F1
F1 as (probably) a trainee in difficulty
Was un-appointable for CMT, got it 2nd round, in the hospital that made me.
So when I say "if I can do it, you can", I really mean it.
@lucnahabedian@SheffKidsED Huge congrats Lucine, amazing news!!!! It's a fabulous city and I always love my trips there to visit my lovely friend @GadsbyMace!
So this paediatric nurse is off to adult ITU tomorrow- time to put on my big girl pants 😳Any tips or positive vibes will be greatly received ☺️Will Jimmy the dinosaur be welcome?? (Also pls don’t tell my mum I’m going 😂) #adultsarejustbigkids
I (try to) meet all patients at diagnosis. I then help co-ordinate their ongoing care by prescribing chemotherapy & assessing them for planned treatments.I organise their investigations & generally try to be a friendly & familiar face throughout their journey 🤞🏻#AdvPracWeek20
