@markgoldbridge Wait wait wait, you expect the org that took cash bribes for Qatar's WC bid, changed the WC schedule for Qatar, and said nothing about slave labor building their stadiums to have integrity? How stupid are you?

Argentina deserved to win but holding up a banner about the Falklands is bang out of order. Not in the spirit of the World Cup and not meant to being politics in to football. FIFA will do nothing though. Hypocrites

In August 2024 Rodri and Álvaro Morata were rightly banned for one match for singing “Gibraltar is Spain”. Now the Argentine players who celebrated with the “Falklands are Argentine” banner must be barred from the final.

@jongrove02 Jamie Pollard is a clown, who's butthurt and retiring bc his athletic department is insolvent. Idk why you want us to loudly dance on his grave.

This is exactly why Jamie Pollard was pushing for Texas Tech to cover legal fees. I’d bet Gene Taylor and other Big 12 ADs feel the same way behind the scenes. Funny how quiet the cactus crowd is tonight.

Scoop: On June 11, Ken Paxton threatened to sue the Big 12 if it sanctioned Texas Tech for fielding QB Brendan Sorsby. The day before, Texas Tech Regents Chair Cody Campbell, a Sorsby defender, donated $274,300 in support of Paxton's #TXSEN bid: texastribune.org/2026/07/15/cod…

@randycharb @Bachscore Baylor did the same thing and hid behind their private institution status when Art Briles and staff were covering up their football team's all-you-can-rape buffet in Waco.

@Bachscore The law firm won't release the report because there is no report. They are doing everything verbally. They briefed the board of trustees verbally with their findings. They are hiding everything. You can't let them get away with this. If they do, EVERYONE will do this verbally

NEW: A year before Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore was fired for an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, the school’s athletic director told him not to travel with her, according to a law firm investigation. wsj.com/sports/footbal…

@InsideOKST Said the same thing a couple days ago. Used to love their stuff… now it’s nothing but rage bait and resentment. I wonder if they had a change in admin, if not, very sad.

ACC would be a lateral move, sure. But, a couple things to consider. 1. Texas Tech clearly isn't dependent on TV revenue to be successful so that's a non factor. 2. Fair or not, the ACC is clearly more respected than the Big 12 by the national landscape and Texas Tech would actually be additive to the overall perception of the conference. Add in that FSU and Clemson may be stuck in the ACC via federal legislation, it makes sense for all parties to explore.

@jasonscheer No it's not. Nobody will care, same as if Monster advertised a Polish sports league on our cans in the small print.

Something we’re not talking about enough with the Monster deal “The deal requires Monster to include Big 12 assets in its marketing in more than 100 countries where it advertises." That’s a big deal.

@dimpledwonder @madraider06 When y'all left the Big 12, there was a handshake agreement that CDC didn't honor. Just like your sheep-fucking brethren, y'all are scared to schedule us.

Unfortunately the hope that Texas Tech crashes and burns this season is made unrealistic by the fact that they have the easiest schedule in all of the p4

@biscuitsandsec @HitemWreckem Except the instant Tech started spending money, it was "oh, you'll just go 7-5 again." This outrage is bc regional car dealership owners can't give a HS kid $50k in a McD's bag anymore. NIL ruined that. Unlimited transfers, too.

@HitemWreckem People like to root for the underdog. Then Tech tried to skirt the rules in an egregious manner, and the CFB public turned on them. Y’all can embrace the villain role, but Tech was spitting on everyone’s shoes and telling us it was raining.

I think 95% of college football fans were happy to see Texas Tech win the Big 12 and make the CFP last year. then in 6 months the Red Raiders somehow managed to turn everyone against them with terrible decision after terrible decision and now no one can stand them.

@biscuitsandsec Incorrect - so many hated the fact that Tech spent money last season. It was a major talking point for every broadcast. Every time Tech was mentioned, the money came up next. I understand, but it's not like Texas did anything with their advantage$ for all but 2 years in the B12.

James Blanchard is clown and a fool. Sonny Dykes is 1000% correct. Texas Tech's NIL budget is $20,000,000 greater than TCU's because they have to pay 25% above market value to get recruits to move to Lubbock, Texas. No recruit would chose Texas Tech if the NIL offer was even.
James Blanchard 🌵@jkbtjc_53

I’m bored today so I’ll go ahead & say it. This isn’t true.. nobody in a P5 conference is 25M behind anybody unless there is something fundamentally wrong with their program. Which could be the case. I doubt many are even 15M behind they just have poor roster building/management.

@JarheadFrog Have you considered that facilities might play a huge factor for many recruits? Also program culture?
