Victoria Falls is experiencing the largest volume of water in 70 years right now. On the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia (with 75% of the best views only visible from Zimbabwe), the falls are the largest curtain of falling water in the world. Kariba Dam will probably overspill this year & we might see the sluice gates opened for the first time in many many years, @mimmitwit @Mavhure @matigary @Zimparks

Today, by rare coincidence, the Muslim & Christian fasting seasons of Ramadan and Lent began on the same day. Ramadan lasts one lunar month, culminating in Laylat al-Qadr & Eid al-Fitr, while Lent lasts 40 days culminating in Holy Friday & Easter. 🙏🤲🏿 Blessings + peace to all.

We must ensure African countries benefit first & fully from their critical minerals through fair, sustainable value chains & manufacturing. No more plundering. No more exploitation. The people of Africa must benefit from the resources of Africa.

@EconomicsMajozi A very good read ., I couldn’t agree more to this “The fixation on inequality reflects political posturing rather than a genuine concern for economic well-being.”

There is no credible evidence showing that inequality impoverishes societies. On the contrary, prosperity often requires inequality—some individuals must succeed so they can uplift others. Success breeds opportunity, I write in MY LATEST column. #economy #markets #G20

In Tawila today, I spent time with mothers and caregivers of severely malnourished kids and women who have endured the worst horrors of the siege of El Fasher. The world failed to protect them: we must not fail them again.

@Unreal_Kev The key should always be easy onboarding and access . With multiple streaming platform options why do they make their platform this complicated .

The fact that DStv Now only allows one streaming device at a time is quite diabolical to me.

@Malik_ZMB I wonder if MZ gave Zambians closure with the ECL burial ; if this would help somehow change the narrative that’s negatively branded him ..

Brian Mundubile Is Quietly Outshining Makebi Zulu in the PF Presidential Race, Here's Why. By Malik In the midst of the PF chaos are two frontrunners trying to convince the party that they should be the next captain of a ship that has been sailing through storms since 2021: Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu. Both are strong figures, both have loyal supporters, and both understand the PF machinery - but the truth is, the political moment is simply favouring Mundubile, and not by accident. Makebi Zulu has found himself locked inside a storyline that no politician wants to headline - the never-ending Lungu burial saga. It is almost unfair because Makebi is sharp, articulate, and courageous. Under normal circumstances, he would be a real contender. But politics doesn’t respect fairness; it respects timing and optics. And right now, the optics are brutal. In politics, your image is everything. And if your image becomes “international malukula," your message, no matter how brilliant, gets drowned in the sadness and tension of the moment. Zambia is already exhausted economically, emotionally, politically and now the nation is watching a funeral that has refused to reach its final chapter. Makebi is at the centre of a storm that he didn’t create but must now carry. And he carries it well, but politically it is a heavy weight. PF doesn’t need another emotional storyline. It has had enough of those to last a decade. What it needs now is a face that signals readiness, structure, and seriousness. Mundubile gives that. Makebi, through no fault of his own, is tied to a saga that makes him look unstrategic, overwhelmed and trapped in yesterday’s problems instead of shaping tomorrow’s solutions.
