In Ukraine, the situation with forced mobilization has become so dire that it risks sparking something close to a civil war. Today, an officer involved in coercive conscription was killed — his throat was slit. Since the country is getting deeper and deeper into chaos and trust to the government has reduced dramatically, people are taking matters into their own hands, seeing themselves as the only force capable of protecting their lives from both external aggression and domestic policies. Ukraine should have developed the financial incentives for mobilization instead of crossing all the read lines of human rights violations. Corruption also has played its role in demotivating people to fight

Several Ukrainian drones have recently crashed in the Baltic countries, suggesting that they were using Polish and Baltic airspace for the massed attacks in northern Russia. Map shows crash sites, target and assumed flight path. Convenient way of avoiding Russian air defences.

The scale of today’s attack strongly indicates that Russia has no intention of really ending this war. If we take into account that Russia is also helping the Iranian regime to carry out strikes across the region, the conclusion becomes self-evident: without additional and strong pressure on Russia, without significant Russian losses, those in Moscow will not develop any desire to back down from the war and somehow come to terms with peace again. Pressure is clearly lacking right now. On the contrary, there are signals encouraging Russia to continue what they have been doing for years, only increasing their aggressiveness. The fact that sanctions against Russia have been partially eased serves Russia’s interest to continue the war. The Russians will earn at least two billion dollars from the easing of sanctions in these weeks alone. This is dangerous for everyone.

The Russians are attacking civilians again. A UNESCO-protected building is on fire in the center of Lviv. It was in the heart of the city on a weekday evening and many people were out walking or returning from work.
