@Gassman3268 Bushra got 10.75% in Niles twnsp, which includes Skokie and Morton Grove, which definitely seems to have dug into Kat's vote share a bit, but it's hard to say where those voters would go (and if they would vote) had she dropped Niles Biss 32% Fine 27.1% Abug. 17.7% Amiwala 10.8%

“𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. Lucas Betschart, Justus Delp, Dominik Hofmann, Julia Bond, Daniela Rosa, and moderator Ekaterina Anthony shared insights on crypto regulation, travel rules, blockchain monitoring, and balancing automation with human oversight. The discussion emphasized how compliance has shifted from a feared area to one where traditional banks actively seek expertise, focusing on scalable solutions that combine technology with human judgment. Although the discussion touched on many topics, here are some key takeaways: 🔶 Since 2017, crypto compliance has shifted from being avoided by bankers to an area where they actively seek insights to help clients. 🔶 Travel rule implementation varies globally; Switzerland enforces it strictly, while other countries have inconsistent adoption, creating cross-border compliance challenges. 🔶 DeFi’s anonymity and lack of central control present compliance issues, though solutions like zero-knowledge proofs and closed pools may offer regulatory pathways. 🔶 Crypto transaction monitoring requires specialized tools to trace fund sources, check exposure to sanctions, dark markets, and evaluate interactions with centralized and DeFi protocols. 🔶 While AI and automation streamline compliance, human oversight is still critical for regulatory adherence and decision-making. 🔶 Blockchain’s transparency can enhance AML monitoring by allowing detailed transaction tracing when implemented properly. 🔶 Web3 companies are increasingly integrating compliance into their products, with wallets screening transactions for staking and swapping ahead of regulatory requirements.

🌎 The second edition of the Web3 Banking Symposium concluded with an insightful discussion on how crypto solutions overcome the limitations of traditional banking, particularly in high-inflation economies. Fernando Fontes and Giv Zanganeh, under the moderation of Sheraz Ahmed, examined how cryptocurrencies serve as viable alternatives for users seeking financial stability and greater control over their assets. Various topics were covered during the conversation, here’s a breakdown in case you missed it: 🔶 Tether is a leading stablecoin provider with $140 billion in stablecoins and 350 million users, especially popular in the Global South for protecting against local currency devaluation. 🔶 Traditional banks build trust through physical presence and regulations, while Tether earns trust by being fully backed 🔶 Tether earns interest (around 5%) on US Treasury holdings backing their stablecoins, offering an alternative to holding cash in high-inflation countries. 🔶 Both panelists see the future as a collaboration between traditional finance and crypto, with banks evolving into platform-based APIs. Thanks for being with us and for wrapping up this edition! 💐

@thesobergym We walk, run, and climb one leg at a time. It makes zero sense to train exclusively on two. Functional strength requires independent limb stability.

if you have a strength imbalance between sides (and you do, everyone does) bilateral exercises like barbell bench and barbell squats let your strong side compensate. single leg RDLs, dumbbell presses, Bulgarian split squats. these expose and correct asymmetries that bilateral work masks. most people have a 10-15% strength difference between sides and don't even know it. asymmetries cause compensatory movement patterns which cause injury over time. the fix isn't sexy. it's boring single leg and single arm work done consistently. your weaker side sets the weight and your stronger side matches it. ego has no place here.

⚡️Coming Soon: Lightning Network Support What this gives you: 🔶 BTC transactions in seconds (not 10–30 minutes) 🔶 Fees: less than $0.01 (not $1–5) 🔶 Micropayments become possible Why this matters: Right now: QR Pay works, but waiting 10 minutes and paying $2 in fees for a $3 coffee is absurd. With Lightning: Scan the QR → 2 seconds → $0.005 fee → the coffee is yours. Stay tuned for updates!

Cancer cells reprogram their metabolism to consume large amounts of glucose — a phenomenon known as the Warburg Effect. This metabolic shift helps tumors grow, survive, and shape their interaction with the immune system. If you want to understand one of the fundamental metabolic hallmarks of cancer, this article explains it in a clear and accessible way. Read more here: williamscancerinstitute.com/the-warburg-ef…

A brand new 2026 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial on medicinal mushrooms just published in Brain and Behavior. 50 participants. 12 weeks. A blend of lion's mane, cordyceps, reishi, shiitake, and maitake. The mushroom group showed significant improvements in stress, fatigue, anxiety, depression, and sleep quality compared to placebo. Small study. But double-blind and placebo-controlled matters.
