Between 2011 and 2015, DCI officers would arrest me and ask, “Nyakundi, what is this thing called blogging? Si uwache hii kitu uende ufanye ukulima Kisii?”
Looking back, the survival of the blogging industry is almost a miracle. We were attacked from every side, including by mainstream media, which dismissed us as unsubstantiated, unverified and unscrupulous online personalities. Yet the same space they mocked became one of the most powerful channels for public complaints, whistleblowing, accountability and stories that would never have seen daylight elsewhere.
Blogging survived because Kenyans needed somewhere to speak. It survived because many truths first arrive untidy, through ordinary people, victims, insiders and citizens who have no newsroom, no editor and no platform.
The industry was not perfect, but it opened a door that power badly wanted shut.

Never knew hapo between Maai Mahiu & Suswa kuna speed limit ya 100 km/hr. Nimefika hapo Suswa Police Post, tukaflagiwa 3 cars, then this policewoman says, “Ni ile Swift iko katikati.” 😂
Wondering what’s up, this guy pulls out a photo that looks like it was taken by someone hidden somewhere & tells me I was doing 114 km/hr against a limit of 100 km/hr. Smh.

What Dr Gikonyo isn't revealing is that Today's doctors aren't treating people well also. They prescribe medication that makes you "come back" rather than that treats you. They prescribe foot and lifestyle that doesn't get you healthy. For example, A doctor will confidently tell a patient to eat 5 meals a day when they know a patient only needs 2 meals a day. Our doctors also need to level up.

The news of 18 Women police recruits chased out of Kiganjo police training college because the FELL pregnant is devastating.Kicking them out is WRONG rather they should be deffered.
They fell pregnant yes; it's not a crime.It's a blessing !
I request the police incharge to issue them with deferment letters to secure their slots .
I have written to that effect .
Even those who fall pregnant as minors have a second chance !
Every woman reading this should support me in this ! @kipmurkomen pls intervene.

What happened in the Senate Chamber on 25th March 2026 was not just an embarrassment but a gross violation of the dignity of a child. A young female student who went to Parliament under the School Voluntary Service Scheme to learn was met with inappropriate and degrading remarks from Senator Karen Nyamu.
The Senate must be a SAFE space that affirms the dignity and future of our Children. Article 53(1)(d) of the Constitution guarantees every child the right to be protected from abuse and inhuman treatment. Article 53(2) makes the child's best interests paramount in every matter with no exceptions. Additionally, Section 22(1) of the Children Act 2022 prohibits any person from subjecting a child to psychological abuse which includes acts causing embarrassment and humiliation.
I call upon the Senate to go beyond accepting the theatrical apology and take concrete accountability measures. Senator Karen Nyamu still sought to justify her conduct even while purporting to apologise. An apology that is read and accepted in minutes is NOT justice. If we are serious about protecting the girl child, then our institutions must reflect that seriousness.

Among the Bukusu, there is a saying, "A man who leaves his house standing, risks not thinking straight during the day." Wives were encouraged to embrace morning s*x because it made their men more productive during the day.
Morning s*x offers significant health and relationship benefits, including boosted immunity, reduced stress, improved mood, and enhanced intimacy due to higher hormone levels like oxytocin and dopamine.
But a foolish woman somewhere is using her biological tools to "punish" the man. Utashangaa.
