Why would you say that when it is easy to check that the opposite is true? There are many papers about it. That is not even a relevant fact. Why lie about it?

I’m not endorsing a party in the German elections, as it’s not my country and we hope to have good relations with all Germans. But this is an interesting piece. Also interesting; American media slanders AfD as Nazi-lite, But AfD is most popular in the same areas of Germany that were most resistant to the Nazis.

@MortenSorby I find Armageddon to be an entertaining (and quick) solution to this issue: the bidding stage is fun, and white cannot draw.
I also didn't like the tiebreaker without a further match, but I can see this saves time.

@VincentMeisner It’s difficult make a rule against repetition. Somehow the insensitive have to be there…. Hope they come up with something that. I’m at least glad they are trying something. So anticlimactic when the winner is crowned in a fast draw. Looking forward to tomorrow 👌

Terrible contest design at the World Blitz Chess Championship 2024. The top 8 players after 13 rounds enter the knock-out stage. All the 8 players at the top were paired against each other and almost immediately agreed to a draw. That is not what spectators want to see.

The new World Blitz format was introduced to deal with a perceived problem of quick draws in the final rounds in previous years. We've had draws in 12, 7 & 8 moves on the top boards so far in Round 12! #RapidBlitz

@MortenSorby One could have stated in the rules that in the last two rounds a draw before, say, 20 moves counts as a loss or something.

@VincentMeisner Well on the flip side there will be no short draws tomorrow when they fight for the victory. Like we have seen so many times. Pros and cons I guess 🤷♂️

@RieGoo @LusorsYouTube @SpIashford @slunixx Und genau um diese Diskrepanz geht es hier und im Ursprungstweet. Es gibt einfach viel zu viel, was man sich mit diesem Einkommen nicht leisten kann, sodass "reich" (und auch "hilariously viel") einfach kein passendes Wort ist.

@sarathustraaa Die PhD-Erfahrung kann je nach Programm/Betreuer/Umfeld sehr unterschiedlich sein. Du kannst das ja mal ein Jahr machen und dann hast du dir nichts verbaut. Versuche mal mit jemandem zu reden, der genau das macht, was du im Kopf hast.
