@drinktothatpod Harsh feedback?!?!? I’m really surprised. I had intended to keep a bottle or two for each vintage that I have for a future vertical but couldn’t resist finishing the 2012s. Will delve in the 2014s next I think.

@VineInspiration The wines showed well. I got some weird, harsh feedback online when I was promoting that dinner for whatever weird reason, and in reality the wines generally showed well. Some of them were lovely. Sometime vintages showed better than others. 2000 was a star.

Big credit to @DublinAirport - flew through Terminal 1 last Monday and they had one new machines. Took same flight three days ago and they had installed and opened the entire floor. No more taking stuff out of bags. No liquid size restrictions rte.ie/news/dublin/20…

@KarlBrophy @DublinAirport I’ve always wondered (and indeed asked previously) but hadn’t yet seen an official line. But…I’ve just checked and Linate has also updated their software and wine is fine. Which is obviously more important than the outbound leg 😉

Another Sunday having to time the walk to the shops for the barbecue supplies because Ireland’s farcical licensing laws forbid the purchase of wine and all booze until 12.30pm.

@KarlBrophy Yeah I really like them, particularly from slightly warmer sites like Montestefano. In any case, my frame of reference for ‘wet’ is being recalibrated in Croke Park today.
