What's awesome is being mostly conservative on a lot of issues, and then having disagreements with other conservatives about issues, they immediately assume you're some sort of far lefty. I'm someone who for most of my life could be considered right wing. In some cases far right. But I don't like trump anymore, I thought he was alright at first. But now I've changed my mind. He promises to drain the swamp and weed out corruption, yet Doge hasn't done shit, things have seemingly been exposed but then the story goes away. And as far as draining the swamp goes, the tendrils of that filthy dirty swamp are deep and far-reaching and Trump is another tree in that swamp. That's not to say that the Democrats are not trees in that swamp as well. The roots are all interconnected, we suffer while they flourish. They tell us they don't want socialism yet they receive government housing and food. It's just a bunch of hypocrites out to get rich and we get fucked in the process. Fuck the republicans, fuck the democrats, the whole system is fucked.

That "teen summer job" line is outdated and lazy. The reality is, most minimum wage workers aren't teens they're adults, many with families, working multiple jobs just to survive. The problem isn't that people "made a career" out of low wage work. It's that wages stagnated while the cost of living skyrocketed. Not everyone has the luxury or opportunity to “climb the ladder” when the rungs have been ripped out. People aren’t asking for luxury they're asking not to starve while working full-time. Should a full time job be enough for food, rent and the basics?

You're framing it like low wage workers are the ones asking for something extra. But the point is, if someone works full time, they shouldn't be in poverty period. It's not about "artificial inflation." It's about ensuring that the minimum wage reflects the real economy. Productivity is up. Prices are up. Corporate profits are way up. But wages at the bottom? Flatlined. If you can’t afford to pay someone enough to live, you can't afford to be in business. The bare minimum of labor should cover the bare minimum of living otherwise it's not “free market,” it’s exploitation.

If I add 7.25/hr of value to the workforce my purchasing power should be equivalent. It should not be artificially inflated.
