@ReviewsPossum Everything has DLC and can be tweaked now. Its all up to the developer to decide how that gets implemented. If a game wasn't finished back then, it was just never finished. Now you can just wait for the next patch or remaster. Or you can put out Sonic Boom and just not fix it.

@ReviewsPossum There was good and bad then just as there is good and bad now. Pokemon Red and Blue are legendary because the code is basically held together with gum and tape and you can brute force literally anything, but it works even if its riddled with glitches and oversights.

I don't remember ever having to download a day-one patch for a Nintendo 64 game.

@ReviewsPossum Meanwhile you've got something like Sonic '06 which was barely playable, but still was adored like an ugly pug. Cyberpunk went from next to non-functional to an amazing game. AC: Black Flag is back and being hailed as the greatest one ever when it was terrible at its og release.
