More than 30 awesome classic cars and golf carts decked out in patriotic bling rolled through the streets of Treasure Island today in the Patriotic Classic Cars & Cart Parade. While many were still negotiating with their coffee, these die-hard legends fired up the V8s, juiced up the golf carts, and turned Treasure Island into a rolling Stars and Stripes spectacle. Flags flapping, chrome shining, and enough red-white-and-blue to make fireworks jealous. This star-spangled convoy is just one of a few events building up to America’s epic 250th birthday bash. Big thanks to every early-rising gearhead who showed up and showed out with pure American pride.

A beautiful day in the neighborhood was made even more beautiful by the volunteers who came out this morning (June 10) for another sea oat planting event. This time, they planted at the south end of Treasure Island on Sunset Beach. Sea oats are vital to our dune ecosystems, and these planting events are helping fortify our dunes along our beaches. THANK YOU to all the volunteers and, of course, to Treasure Island - Adopt A Beach and @KeepPinellas!
