A suspected West Gang member has been killed in a clash with KZN police in Inanda. The man, in his mid-twenties, was being sought in connection with several armed robberies and other violent crimes. He was found by the Inanda SAPS Task Team and SAT Enforcement this morning, hiding in a one-room house in Mzomusha. The suspect allegedly tried to shoot officers but was killed shortly after. A 9mm pistol has been recovered. @eNCA

There is a woman selling buns on the road close to my area. I always buy buns from her with one my sister. She sometimes calls us twins. So I promised her 1k to buy coke when next I come around to buy buns again. I travelled and came back,while waiting for a cab to take me home, I bumped into her at the bus stop. She shouted in the public, heeyyyyyy Aunty, I no see you again, how are you, you know you suppose give me 1k"😳 My God, I stood there looking at her I'm Like how in God's name can a woman act like this?? She saw me with boxes and right there she was publicly asking me about the 1k. She asked as though I was owing her. Omo, one word didn't come out of my mouth. I opened my purse, removed the 1k,handed it to her and told her to buy her coke and enjoy it. She left happily, without any guilt whatsoever. I got home and was sharing the experience with my two sisters. And they said Ehennnnnn😁, that when I travelled,they followed her way to go fix nails and immediately she saw the both of them, she greeted deeply and was telling one of my sister's that "Aunty no forget your promise oo" She thought I was the one not knowing it was my younger sister. My sister told her that no, the one that promised her 1k traveled. She was like "ohhhh, we all look alike a lot"😊 When my sister gisted me the experience I just shook my head. I told myself I can never ever promise anyone money. If I can give it immediately I will. But promising,nahhhhhhh! Lesson learnt. Make person no jack me for road dey embarrass me on top my promise 😁

@D_Molatoli Faro must be suspended. Weak oversight allowed millions in irregular spending and delayed disciplinary action against corrupt officials. Leadership failure at TMPD threatens public trust. An independent investigation cannot happen while she remains in charge.

I tried to give Commissioner Faro the benefit of the doubt as much as I possibly could. Being a female in a Command and Control environment such as the Metro Traffic Police can't be an easy job. She took over in October 2023, coming all the way from the Western Cape. I tried to cut her a slack. That being said, I don't think she has done enough to deal with the corruption happening right under her nose. Advocate Sikhakhane was also not convinced, and I hope, the same way that Advocate Chaskalson always goes back to use a fine comb to double check and read between the lines, he will also do that with Faro. We are done with TMPD yet, Dlamini and the CFO still need to come. So if they find something, she can still be called back, I hope. She was sounding particularly defensive when Sikhakhane was probing about why has it taken so long for people implicated in wrong doing like Phiri, to be disciplined. For her to say you don't want to charge these people quickly because they tend to jump ship by resigning and go somewhere else, was nonsensical. Commissioner Baloyi even said no but you hand them over to the police, open a case, then SAPS takes them to IPID, so even if they resign the case will still stand, like EKkurhuleni did. Secondly, she says she has three meetings in a week with her Deputies, and monthly budget meetings. But she couldn't pick up or monitor the irregular spending amounting to millions paid to Gubis for Adhoc services, until the budget was depleted. Like, Ma'am, something doesn't add up. #MadlangaCommission

Thabisa Mnqwazana (46) was allegedly shot and killed by three armed robbers in Egcuwe, Eastern Cape. The incident happened while she was preparing for her husband’s funeral. Three unknown men reportedly entered the home, tied everyone up, and took Thabisa into a separate room. They allegedly stole money and bank cards before shooting her. The suspects fled the scene, and no arrests have been made. A family already grieving… was forced to bury another loved one. No family should ever have to endure such pain. Another beautiful soul taken too soon.
