I bought a Tesla. Never thought I’d get an electric vehicle, but took a ride in a buddy’s Tesla and changed my mind.
I’ve been using the supervised self-driving mode for my daily commute into DC. It’s pretty amazing.
Today the car suddenly moved into the left lane, very abruptly. In that split second a very large piece of debris blew into the lane I had been in. The Tesla self driving system saw what I couldn’t see.
When I drive I can only see from the perspective of the driver side front seat. The Tesla has multiple censors with different angles of view. It saw what I couldn’t.
Importantly, even I I had seen it at the same time, the split second that it would have taken me to check blind spots and then consciously make the decision to move over would have taken too long. The Tesla knew all these variables simultaneously and almost instantly and was able to avoid impact safely.

@SusieM414141 I bought cabinets one time that I had to put together, but each box contained everything you need for that one cabinet. It was about 20 boxes. It was so much cheaper. 4 guys one weekend had the entire kitchen cabinets put together and installed.

The IKEA special!
This family ordered a kitchen from IKEA, which is now in 210 packages, and they have to put it together themselves. Is it worth the savings to do this yourself, or would you rather hire a contractor? I’m all for DIY but not at this level.

That Target Takedown! This older woman is yelling at a shopper who has her children with her. Apparently her son was running around the aisles (not the road, like the woman calls it) and the older woman hit him with her shopping cart. They go back and forth with some bad language. Who is right? Should the mother have stopped her son from running around, or was he just being a kid? Target can be stimulating for children. Language!

🚨 DAD TEACHES HIS DAUGHTER MATH — SCHOOL FAILS HER FOR GETTING THE RIGHT ANSWER
A 4th grader was struggling so bad with multiplication she was coming home crying.
The school had her breaking numbers into boxes and doing confusing cross maneuvers she couldn’t grasp.
Her dad stepped in and taught her the way he learned.
It clicked instantly.
Test day came and she only missed TWO questions.
Should’ve been a 92%.
She got a 50%.
Why?
Because she didn’t use the box method.
She got the answers right but they were marked wrong anyway.
Her dad went to the school and pushed back, the principal admitted there’s more than one way to solve it.
Grade got fixed.
But now his wife says he went too far.
If the answer is right, does the method even matter?

In April of 2006, Navy Seal Michael Day was shot 28 times, but it didn't stop him.
He was shot everywhere on his body but his head, and continued to fight with his Sig 9MM pistol even after the pistol grips and his thumb was shot off.
With that handleless pistol he killed the three more remaining bad guys. He only walked to a Medevac helicopter when the job was done.
Athletes shouldn't be revered as heroes, men like this should be.

This man and his daughter was at the grocery store picking up some groceries. When it was time to pay, the little girl wanted to pay for it.
So the man gave her a $100 to pay, like when she’s playing cashier at home. She takes the money and puts it into the donation for feeding the needy.
The man only had that $100 on him and now can’t pay for his groceries. He talks to a manager about taking the money back so he can pay. Everyone now is criticizing him for taking the money back for the needy, saying they need it more than he did. Was he wrong for taking the money back?
