@Idi_Majeobaje You're wrong here in your analysis sha. He's basically saying he has contestes in primaries multiple times and will nevrr shy away from such. Whenever he looses though, he usually fully supports the winner

Clarification on My Political Position We have noted recent media reports and discussions suggesting a possible realignment within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) due to the current challenges facing the party. In light of the misleading narratives in the public domain, I wish to state categorically that no final decision has been taken regarding my political future or that of my political associates. The recent Supreme Court judgment, while affirming the legitimacy of the David Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC), also remitted the matter back to the High Court. This has left the party in a precarious position. In addition, the Federal High Court has recently ruled to delegitimise the party’s recent convention. The Attorney General of the Federation has also strangely applied to a Federal High Court to deregister the ADC. We left the NNPP due to externally influenced legal problems that made our stay perilous. The ADC has now been also forced into this difficulty. Consequently, like other major stakeholders, we have commenced wide-ranging consultations — including with leaders from the NDC, PRP and others to explore the best options for protecting our democratic interests. We shall announce our decision in the soonest possible time. On the issue of presidential candidacy, I wish to recall my consistent record as a committed democrat. In the 2014 APC presidential primary, I came second to President Muhammadu Buhari (whom I fully supported to victory), with Atiku Abubakar third, Rochas Okorocha fourth, and the late Sam Nda-Isaiah fifth. Similarly, in 2019, I contested the PDP presidential ticket and immediately supported the winner, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, serving as the campaign’s coordinator in the North. I have always placed national interest and party unity above personal ambition. Furthermore, the ADC is yet to zone its presidential ticket or take any decision on a candidate. I have therefore neither declared any intention to run for president nor endorsed any aspirant. All speculations to the contrary are premature and unfounded. My absence from the two recent ADC stakeholders’ meetings was due to unavoidable personal commitments. I promptly communicated my apologies to the party leadership. We shall continue to engage constructively at all levels. Any definitive position on our political direction will be communicated formally through official channels at the appropriate time. Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, PhD, FNSE Former Governor, Kano State Former Minster of Defence

@theboyGandoki Amorim might not have been right with his selection, but those structures have helped transform Bruno into the best version of himself. Bruno playing in the double 8 role built his ball retention mastery much more. Back to 10 now, he's making better decisions no more "el bomba"

I believe a break is needed for whatever resolution or immediate decision to be made. No institution will make a decision on the spot because of the protest. Since this decision could take a couple of days. The break is usually to kill the tension in the air.
High-Chief Aweda, G.C.O.N@Awedathefirst

Why is it that the default response of OAU and UI to big protests is to chase the students home? I find it very disheartening especially when the issues surrounding the protest could have been addressed before things escalated. This also happened in Ui while I was the President of the Union.

Here is why United are wearing this jersey today and not the Snapdragon themed one. Snapdragon pays tens of millions of pounds a year to have their logo on the front of Manchester United's shirt. Today they gave that space away voluntarily acharity founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver. There is a business reason behind that generosity, but the cause behind it is worth understanding first. Manchester United are donning this special edition home shirt against Brentford at Old Trafford today with the (RED) charity logo replacing the usual Snapdragon branding on the front. (RED) is an organisation that fights health injustice globally, raising funds for the Global Fund to combat AIDS and other diseases. All net proceeds from the limited edition shirts and match-worn items go directly to that cause, with the Gates Foundation matching additional funds raised on top. This is the second consecutive season United have done this. Last season the special shirt appeared against West Ham. The collaboration is between Manchester United, Snapdragon and (RED), and the mechanic is straightforward. Snapdragon donates their logo space for the match, (RED) gets the visibility, the shirts go on sale to the public, and match-worn items are auctioned afterwards. The legal framework that makes this possible is an FA rule that permits clubs to temporarily replace their front-of-shirt sponsor with a charity logo for specific designated matches. Without that provision, the standard sponsorship contract would make the swap commercially impossible regardless of the intention behind it. Snapdragon's logo will for every other match. But for today, one of the most valuable pieces of advertising real estate in English football belongs to a charity. My name is Ajoje. I am a FIFA Licensed Agent and International Sports Lawyer. I write on the Law and Business of Football, a lot. Repost and Follow if you want to read more posts like this.

If Subsidy Has Been Removed and We Have the Money, Why Are We Still Borrowing?— Sanusi Lamido Sanusi Former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has raised concerns over Nigeria’s current fiscal and monetary direction, questioning continued government borrowing despite subsidy removal and exchange rate reforms. Speaking on the country’s economic policies, Sanusi said the removal of fuel subsidy and liberalisation of the foreign exchange market were necessary steps, but stressed that timing and implementation remain critical to their success. “I have always said the subsidy regime was unsustainable. We cannot continue supporting foreign refineries when we’re an oil-producing country keeping refineries open abroad while we’re not doing our own,” he said. He noted that Nigeria’s current domestic refining capacity and reduced fuel imports should have improved fiscal stability. “Today, we have our own domestic refinery. We’re not importing petroleum products. We’re even exporting fuel, and this is very good for the economy,” he added. However, he warned that macroeconomic instability can undermine reforms if not properly managed. “Artificial exchange rates, especially when you’re printing money, cannot work there was going to be a devaluation,” he said. While acknowledging the necessity of subsidy removal and exchange rate adjustments, Sanusi questioned government borrowing patterns. “If you’re not paying the subsidy and you’ve got the money, why are we still borrowing and borrowing? What are we borrowing for?” he asked. He argued that fiscal discipline is now essential. “We should now see fiscal consolidation. You cannot remove wastages and continue borrowing at a higher rate,” he said, stressing that the benefits of reforms should reflect in reduced fiscal pressure. Sanusi further cautioned that policy sequencing matters, warning that removing subsidy and liberalising exchange rates without tightening monetary conditions could destabilise the economy. “The naira drops to a bottomless pit there is a timing issue,” he said

They are not university students at all just low-grade, foolish "mumu" followers lacking any real depth. Where is the spirit of true university education in them? The criticism I raised was constructive, yet instead of engaging intelligently, they resort to insults and noise. Let them show the maturity and critical thinking that a genuine university should instill. As for me: I finished Medicine at the University of Lomé, Togo, in 2005/2006. I have learned far more than most through rigorous study and real-world experience. My qualifications and verification predate many of these noisemakers by decades. Look at how they are commenting full of baseless insults and empty aggression. Is this truly what they teach in university? Empty vessels make the loudest noise. A child who refuses to learn will learn the hard way when the world teaches him. And , The one who has not traveled thinks his mother’s soup is the sweetest yet real wisdom comes from verified knowledge, not TikTok cheers or mob defense. True education refines character and sharpens the mind, not just fills the head with noise. Those who understand this will reflect deeply; the rest will continue shouting into the void.

@YhungProf0 Nigerians are quick to blame anything outright once they don't like you. There's no perfect policy in the world. Nelfund isn't perfect, but it has helped him! People forget that even long ago, parents used to take loans to pay their children's fees in Nigeria!

Amid the flood of felicitations following my convocation as Overall Best Graduating Student of LAUTECH, I find it necessary to address the stir around my NELFUND appreciation post. I accept the praise, life changing offers and the backlash, in good faith. Still, it is only fair to set the record straight. I hail from a village in Osun State, raised in a modest family of five. I attended public primary and secondary schools, not by choice, but because even the most inexpensive private schools were beyond our means. Even then, survival itself; food and clothing was a daily struggle. I walked miles to school each morning, while my parents laboured as jacks-of-all-trades to make ends meet. For nine defining years before I entered university, we lived within sight of basic amenities yet beyond our reach, no electricity, no television; just lanterns and candles. Against these odds, I earned a scholarship and now this distinction. In my third year, a coursemate’s father, someone I had once tutored academically, gifted me my first smartphone which I am still using till now. On several occasions, lecturers, moved by quiet compassion, provided me with clothing. There are many other instances, too numerous to recount. So, I say this plainly, not all of us are born with a silver spoon. Some of us climbed the ladder by holding on to every rung of legitimate support we could find. As an engineering student aspiring to make academic history, should I resort myself to blaming my family’s financial situation for my inability to afford fees and essentials like a reliable smartphone or laptop needed for skills and certifications? For me personally, NELFUND was not incidental; it was instrumental and to acknowledge what helped one’s journey is neither propaganda nor misplaced allegiance. It is simply an act of appreciation. Thank you @NELFUND and everyone that contributed to this success! Greatness awaits all of Us.

Even a 8-years-old child knows how to record and send a video to TikTok . Yet when I asked for your qualifications, you responded with a TikTok link. 😂 Imagine if you were offered the job and they requested your credentials would you simply send them a TikTok video? I expected proper credentials from a verifiable portal or official documents, not social media clips. Nigerians are not foolish. You cannot come from Cotonou with just a JSS1-level BEPC certificate and expect to fool everyone. Ignore the small boys of 14 or 16 years hailing you there are intelligent Nigerians who see through this. Be careful: if you are operating in Nigeria 🇳🇬 without proper certification, you risk damaging the reputation of well-educated professionals from Benin 🇧🇯 Republic. Stop this and go back to the Open University, complete your education properly, then return so we can have a meaningful discussion. TikTok is not the evidence I was expecting. Sadly, this response has only exposed your ignorance to the public. 😢 Nigerians may hail and follow you for now, but they are watching. They will dig up old tweets when the time comes, especially in big platforms or opportunities. I hope you will be ready to answer properly next time. Don’t underestimate Nigerians they are not stupid. They have allowed you to make the money you are currently earning from teaching. Wake up, upgrade yourself, and build a solid foundation so you can defend your competence convincingly when challenged. A fish will always swim better in its own river than in a stranger's pond.

You for just ask to interact with him and know his level of French mastery!! He was brought up in cotonou and has at least a decade of consistently teaching French to students who go on to perform excellently in their french assessments. Coming out to generalise is RUBBISH!!
Wellness Researcher@Afr_JP

Even someone with just a BEPC level from a French-speaking country can outperform many self-taught tutors in Nigeria across all levels. Since I began interacting with French students and masters in Nigeria, only one lady has truly impressed me and even she is still trying to improve. Nigeria is not a French-speaking country. You cannot teach French better than native speakers who hail from nations where French is the mother tongue. If I were to place a call to you right now, within three minutes you would likely disappear from the network. Tell me: How many French-speaking countries have you visited, and for how many months did you stay there to truly improve and master the language? Just as someone from a French-speaking country cannot become more fluent in English than a native English speaker (and vice versa), the classes you're showing in those photos amount to nothing in real terms. Show us evidence of you teaching French-speaking students outside Nigeria, in an actual French-speaking country. From 2007 till 2017, while I was away from the country, I rarely encountered any genuinely good French speakers in Naija only "French familiars" with broken French. I even attended a French school in Yaba; those places are just milking Nigerians. I don't blame them, though. A fish will always swim better in its own river than in a stranger's pond.
