I do this every year, and the #BIG12 is always my favourite to cover. Let's take a look at the RB situation program by program: AU: Top two expected runners who have done most of the interviews this offseason are Kedrick Reescano and Quincy Craig... likely to be a split backfield between the two. ASU: An interesting group no doubt, CFFers will be circling this one to see what happens. The big returning player is Kyson Brown, who seems to win every offseason but has thus far failed to translate it to game day. He is the expected starter once again, but two FCS transfers behind him and a promising freshman make the leash short here and if he's not healthy at some point this season someone else could usurp him the way Raleek Brown did in 2025. Baylor: I've seen big endorsements from the staff on Dawson Pendegrass this offseason and it seems like he may be the RB1A, but it's currently hard to envision one lead guy separating from the pack enough to be #CFF gold. We'll see. BYU: The big dawg, LJ Martin is back for a fourth year of college ball. The problem with him is always the same: durability. When available he's heavily utilized, but if he's injured (as is often the case), then he's a zero from a CFF perspective. Drafting him in the first round is tough because the chance is high he's going to miss games. UCF: Duke Watson, Taevion Swint, and Landen Chambers are reportedly the top three vying for starting duties. Watson was good in spurts with Louisville behind Isaac Brown, but not sure he's good enough to pull away from the pack sufficiently to become a great #CFF asset. CINCY: Zion Johnson opened spring as the first string RB but that felt temporary, and reports have highlighted other players as looking good this spring (e.g., Cole Tabb, Zylan Perry). This will be an interesting backfield to monitor because the head coach has a solid history at RB, particularly from his time at Louisville. CU: They brought in several transfers but I think the story is the same every year--committee. HOUSTON: The prodigal son, Makhi Hughes, returns and he's expected to take over as Willie Fritz' RB1. I'm a bit skeptical about his ability to translate up to P4 given what he did (or didn't do) at Oregon. BIG12 is a different level of comp though. ISU: Brought in several transfers including former ORST RB Salahadin Allah, but not a lot to be excited about here given current info. New staff. Probably not going to have a bellcow. KU: Stop me if you heard this before, but they brought in several transfers, and this time these guys were primarily RB1s(ish) at their former programs. Beyond them, there is a freshman RB Kory Aramchree who has been very impressive this spring. This is a crowded room, but a head coach who has repeatedly demonstrated a preference for having 1 RB handle most of the carry share. KSU: Long time head coach retired, and former OC, Colin Klein, returns to take over as the new coach. Klein has a good track record at RB, and KSU's lead rusher from 2025 returns via Joe Jackson. The problem is KSU brought in a lot of competition in the room. I'm not as high on JJ as others are, but still like him. Current ADP makes him hard to draft. OKST: new staff and they bring their best players from UNT. Last year's star freshman Caleb Hawkins is the designated starter and he should translate well the way Hardy did the year before because of how dominant he was at G5 level. This whole offence has the chance to be really fun, but there are also a lot of question marks about their ability to translate up. TCU: Returning runner Jeremy Payne was a bit of a blind spot for me earlier this offseason but no more. He had a strong finish last year and is likely slated to be the top dawg at least to open the year. The Frogs brought in a productive runner from (I think) D2 but this head coach has repeatedly had one primary runner so hopefully that's observed again in 2026 via Payne. Texas Tech: Log jam here. Last year's presumed RB1 Joyner missed the season with a knee injury and Dickey filled in as the pig. Now, Joyner is back and there is a potential three-headed committee with Williams as well. Not a great situation for CFF. Utah: I want to say Wayshawn Parker is going to be the designated pig and that is my inclination, but Utah also brought in freshman runner Chavez-Soto, who was pretty impressive as a frosh last season. There is also backup QB Byrd Ficklin who is going to have specific run-packages too. Still like Wayshawn, but there's some red flags around him. WVU: CFB's lead rusher last year, Cam Cook, transferred in from Rich Rod's former program, JSU, so there is a natural synergy here. RRod has demonstrated in the past that he's comfortable with one runner handling 250-300 touches in a season so this could be a big campaign for Cook. My one hang up is that the last time we saw Cook in this conference he looked like a scrub. But hopefully he's developed some over the last two seasons. Not a lot of comp around him, mostly freshmen RBs for WVU this season.

Fired up about the additions of @GridironSchol91 and @eliotmays to the Golden Pig Invitational. Safe to say the 2026 league is going to go apeshit.

@CollegeFrontOfc I'm enjoying these, keep up the good work man. I'm curious if you can speak to the methodology you're using to come up with these numbers, and how confident you are in the valuation of each of these teams?
