499 days later, it’s time to say goodbye to the White House. Boundless gratitude to the constituents that challenged me and the teammates that set the bar high. The work continues! Just from the other side.

This week, @WhiteHouseOPE46, @WHOSTP, & @USDOT met with winners of the Inclusive Design Challenge to discuss accessible innovation for people with disabilities.

It was an honor to attend a reception at the home of @VP and @SecondGentleman celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The @VP spoke powerfully about our intersecting rights and the ongoing work of becoming a more inclusive and accessible society.

There are still over 900 rail or subway stations inaccessible to people with disabilities. Today we launched ASAP - All Stations Accessibility Program - the first dedicated program to make these stations accessible for all. transportation.gov/briefing-room/…

When the ADA was passed, advocate Justin Dart wrote “It is only the beginning. It is not a solution. Rather, it is an essential foundation on which solutions will be constructed.” Since then, USDOT has made significant strides in creating accessible transportation.

Today, a historic moment happened!Disability +Sexual & Reproductive Health was publicly addressed in the White House with the @VP of the United States!!! Such an honor being part of this important meeting with VP Harris, discussing the impact of #RoeVsWade and disability!

Today, @FTA_DOT announced it will provide $1.75 billion in funding to rail systems to improve accessibility for all riders. This funding will go towards retrofitting subway stations so people who an elevator or ramp can reliably access rail systems. transportation.gov/briefing-room/…
