@YoungHelghast You have no idea how disappointed I was when I finished signalis thinking "wow that was such an incredible game with great atmosphere, world building, and storytelling. I cannot wait to see this games community" and it's just the most insufferable people ever
English

@YoungHelghast I thought RE had it bad enough but how do you genuinely larp a game without knowing that it is indeed a videogame

English

@MathiasSalaman1 @GestaltJohn @ShitpostRock2 Storch is a gentle giantess. Cruel and combative on the outside.
loving and affectionate when you take her to war museum dates. ⚙️❤️🔥🔥

@NuclearBanan @YURMAY_ Did not realize this was pixel art at first what the hell
English

@kanokoga Ms. Frieren, you've made a minor mistake and now the wall is gone💔
English

@penamon_ She's cool! Funnily, her hairstyle is different in every appearance. I always thought it was on purpose, since there are multiple "copies" of every unit type & their hair might be in different stages, depending on when it was cut, but weirdly she's the only one where this happens

English

@VoyagerCES I'm still in the very early stages, so I haven't met many characters yet, but I really like the girl who was collapsed in front of the elevator right at the start!
I hope I get to meet her again

English

@17Mattguy @ameniwa_ I hope you know that there are literally 0 people that use the same style as you. This is cool for converting regular art into pixels but it can't convert that into the 3D pixel art you make from scratch. Your stuff looks like low-poly blenders models but it's all 2D, it's magic
English

@Rennsaii @IronlilyS IF AI tools actually produced these exact same results, then nothing. Unfortunately AI pixel art converters are notorious for only looking good from far away since the individual pixels sometimes "melt" into eachother & they're really bad with color palettes for some reason
English

@IronlilyS What would be the difference if AI was involved but the result the same? I am not anti or pro AI, but it just seems odd to mention out of nowhere.
English

As a pixel-art enjoyer this is brilliant!
No AI involved. Thank you for making such interesting tool!!

I made a free Pixel Art Converter pixel-converter.ameniwa.com

@StudiosBunni Genuinely what the hell is your game about (in a good way) because every environment looks like a completely different game
English

@BerseriaA You didn’t even post it on reddit this time and they STILL manage to get upset about it
English

@ohle_mathiebe @Aftrlife_game Oh wow this looks wonderful. For some reason, this sort of art direction is nearly completely absent from games. @plectrumxr 's Project MIX is the only title I know of that looks similar. Und so was Geiles kommt aus Deutschlands winziger Indie-Szene?
English

@BerseriaA Redditors genuinely believe that people fell in love with this character because of her skin color and not because she’s cute and has cute voice lines. r/Helldivers is well-known for braindead mods that remove artwork on a whim though so it’s not just you being targeted

English

Posted it on Helldivers reddit and it was removed along with some supportive positive comments (very few out of 131), but openly critique race and look of the character is fine I guess? Not the wildest accusations I got there too. Wanted to draw more fanart of her, not anymore.

By popular demand another SEAF girl fan art. Thank you all for your support and kind words. #Helldivers2 #Helldivers2Art #Helldivers

@StudioONE78852 No wonder the industry is in shambles nowadays, I'd argue that the best narratives in the medium rely almost entirely on "violence and shooting". And what's the "superior" alternative? Is Halo's story supposed to be conveyed through a roguelike deck-builder or something
English

I'll do you one better! I was not allowed into university for game design or game development because my game was too "standard" relying mostly on "violence and shooting to convey its message".
I was told "consider finding your inspirations from less typical games."
...
No.

Marc Brunet@ytartschool
The VAST majority of devs didn’t go to school to learn their craft, they just… learned it on the internet
English

@baloolax There definitely are, but you don't see unique concepts like this often and you rarely ever see the corrupted enemies in fanart anymore. You really did them justice here & it encapsulates the feel that made me fall in love with the game, I'll probably pick up a print of this one
English

@VoyagerCES thanks! that's high praise knowing there are SO many good signalis fanarts out there

@TeflonFuton @Google_Chroma Baffles me that this game had a whole marketing campaign in Japan while the country where it was developed just sorta had nothing? Same thing happened with the Switch pre-order bonuses
