I thought I knew how to use Google Maps… until I Japa! 🤣 As a JJC (Johnny Just Come), I came with confidence steeze. After all, I was a well-grounded student of Geography back home, and used maps sparingly when I had to. I thought navigation would be easy. Wetin Google Maps use my eyes see eehh! 🥴I passed my destination countless times, ended up in the wrong vicinity, got frustrated, gave up, and booked rides… only for the ride apps to charge me a few dollars, I was clinging on to, to get by in this land, and still drop me on the same street I had already walked past without realizing it was my destination. 🤣 That was when humility entered my personal group chat 😂. I had to abandon pride, slow down, relearn how to read maps properly, understand directions better, and pay attention to measurement in distance to cover, North-South-East-West turns, and how locations are structured here. All the time I goofed, and still goofing, because learning many things in this society is ongoing, I switch to making fun of myself, thinking about them, and talking to people about them, in comic ways😁. Many things to unlearn. Many things to relearn. Many simple life skills to adapt to. Japa go humble you. 😂

I spent 7 years in the Nigerian education system (paid) for ONE degree whose only worth was UBA teller service. I had to pivot into tech & crypto. Then I spend 5 years in the European education system (free) for degrees that's feeding me without the need to pivot. Lessons.

You expect the husband, knowing that you are her ex to thank you for destroying his dignity all in the name of paying his rent? Something is wrong with your head. This is enough grounds for the man to divorce the useless thing he married. Tomorrow when the man bounces back financially, this same woman will accuse him of dumping her after all she did for him, forgetting how she humiliated him in their supposedly enduring phase .

My ex reached out to me last month and while we were discussing, she mentioned that their Landlord is about to evict them for not paying their rent and they currently owe the landlord six months rent already, while she told me how worried her husband is over the matter. Out of pity, i asked how much and she said it's 700k, plus 3 months rent they owe will make it 1.1 million Naira. So i sent her 1.3 Million naira to pay the rent and have something for her self. From the moment she told the husband about it, he took my phone number from the wife saying he wants to thank me. this guy called me and gave me insult of my life. He said am trying to take his wife and even knows that am having affairs with his wife already, even threatened to find me and deal with me, even after telling him I'm not base in Nigeria again. I reported him to his wife but she said I shouldn't mind him, that next month is their final due date the landlord gave to them to pack out. Should I just ask his wife to send back my money because i don't want issues in their marriage or I should leave it for her?
