@ao_1981 @ueyamamichiro Funny enough from what I understand Transformers Beast Wars led to the Transformers in the west vs japan to be thought of very differently, with transformers being aimed more Shonen demographic in the west, while I believe its aimed at a younger audience in japan.

@ueyamamichiro The digimon movie was released in the west to try and replicate the success of the pokemon movies. They used the 3 ova short films, edited and new script to make it all seem like one film. It also includes a 10 min short for a bad unrelated show at the start in all releases.

I don't think it's about the skin color itself for most part, I'm just not a big fan of this filter, unless there's some directorial context to it in the episode, it reminds me how pale episode 1140 was, and first Elbaf episode didn't look like that so I would guess it's a director thing mostly too Also, some good changes are happening in elbaf, but the color design is one thing that kept getting worse after Wano

@Marcodmeatball Pretty much, the series is very opera like in retrospect especially with how it does dialog. Mind you the first two parts are considered the worst so if you enjoyed them you'll like the rest.

@PokemanZ0N6 To me it was that the plot seemed like something that clashes with Watanabe's usual episodic style and that feeling never left.

I always trust my hunch when it comes to avoiding certain anime, i don't regret doing so here, even tho Watanabe is one of my personal favourite directors Something about this just felt off to me from beginning

The JoJo baboons have been saying this for so long, since they love doing the "how do I make this about JoJo" But nowadays with how much oda cramps, and how dense the manga is, 1 chapter per episode is not bad, and leaves room for additions to elevate it. Not to mention this comparison has always been dumb because JoJo is mostly vibes and dumb shit, and fights, it doesn't have the lore of one piece and its vast amount of characters

@bingoneko @_ozcm Doppio Vs Risotto tells me otherwise, it was a convenient and anti climactic conclusion to a potentially good fight. It also doesn't help when these fights have limited animation
