@Vumified It's also good to think of rocks as a single shape that's been shifted multiple places like layers of stone that follow a similar direction. Avoid shapes shoved together at different angles. Keep the main planes flowing in the same direction to create a natural rhythm

Sorry for the long post but I think it must be said.
More developers on roblox really need to realize that there are things to learn from any top/successful game. Even if you want to make something completely different! They don't just blow up randomly.
I've seen so many devs(even experienced ones) that are like - "xyz game is so dumb/simple/etc, it's brain rot for kids, I don't understand it why it's so popular."
I'd be willing to bet most of these people haven't actually tried to understand. They haven't done the dirty work and studied the game. They see the tip of the iceberg and form their complete opinion on it, and they try to belittle the game or the devs who worked on it and water it down to it being undeserving slop - all because it's easier for them to do this instead of actually learning from it.
I guarantee you most of the top developers on roblox , even if they don't like or understand a game on the top, are taking notes and respect the game in some capacity because anyone who's maintained a game knows it is hard work.
Learning to respect and admire successful games that you dislike is a powerful tool and will give you the advantage over many.
People often act like your choice here is to either make a unique passion project, or make a generic, simple project and spam it with micro transactions.
This is not the case and is lazy thinking.
If you want to create big games that reach a broad audience, you have to follow the principles of what works, and then splash some of your own creativity in on top of that.
Most developers have the capability to do this and create something big, but they need to learn how these big games are hooking players, and they need to learn how to water down their project's scope into a format that fits on mobile and for the largest possible demographic. You can share your passionate , unique game ideas with the world and still make it big if you cut out what isn't necessary and mold it into something anyone can play.
But if you see these games, talk bad about them, and don't even try to learn about what makes them do well to try to incorporate similar elements into your games, you'll never get there.
