I need a real answer from experienced traders.
This keeps happening to me and I’m trying to understand if it’s a mindset issue, a strategy flaw, or just part of the game.
I’m consistently finding the right coins early.
Low MC, decent liquidity, narrative starting to build.
But here’s the problem:
I exit too early.
Every time I take profit, the coin continues and does a full expansion move after I’m out.
Meanwhile, the coins I decide to “hold with conviction” end up underperforming or dumping.
So I end up:
• Being right on entries
• Wrong on exits
• Missing the real move
And it’s frustrating because I know the edge is there, but I’m not extracting the full value from it.
Is this:
Fear of losing unrealized gains?
Lack of a structured exit strategy?
Or just normal variance in this market?
Would you:
1.Scale out instead of full exit?
2.Let a “moon bag” ride no matter what?
3.Use strict TP levels based on MC targets?
4.Or rely on volume/flow to stay in?
I’m trying to evolve from good entries to complete trades.
Curious how you guys solved this phase.
Thanks.
