Anxiety and depression is an evolutionarily adaptive human brain function. It is triggered when people are unhappy with their current situation. They are accentuated by poor diet, exposure to online activity, and the myriad of artificial stimuli which our brains have not yet evolved to manage. Feelings of anxiety and depression help us stop what we’re doing, consider our choices, assess threats, and hopefully make better life choices. A big step would be to stop looking at anxiety and depression as a disability and view them as an opportunity for life improvement.

Don’t worry, less than 25% of America’s military age males even qualify for military service. Tristan, would you even qualify? Could you pass a physical readiness test? Do you have a history of drug abuse or legal issues? Are you on medications? Do you even have the mental fortitude to serve in the military?

I can share some amazing stories about my children that would’ve never happened if I wasn’t home with them. My son is especially funny sometimes. I have studied martial arts for over 40 years and was teaching my 10-year-old son some things. He looked at me, smiled, and said “you’re a scary fossil.” 🤣🤣🦖🦖🥋🤣🤣

Boomers worked hard. Nobody is disputing that. They also inherited an economy built by the Greatest Generation that priced homes fairly. Funded universities publicly. Protected workers legally. Taxed wealth progressively. Then spent 40 years voting to undo all of it. By the time Gen Z arrived the ladder was gone. They didn't pull it up. They sold it for parts.

@WAJansak @UziCryptoo Agree. Make universities 100% responsible for the loan. If the student defaults, the school "eats" it. That would reduce the DEI admissions crap AND reduce the WORTHLESS degrees we are seeing expand nearly exponentially.

My boomer uncle paid for college working summers at a gas station. $1,200 a semester. Graduated debt free. Bought a house at 24. Told my cousin last Christmas: “You kids just don’t want to work hard enough.” She works two jobs. Has $67,000 in student loans, for a state school. Here’s the math he won’t do: His gas station job in 1974 paid $2.10/hour. >Minimum wage today is $7.25. >Tuition has gone up 1,400%. >His wages went up 3x. >Her debt went up 14x. He didn’t work harder. The math just worked for him. It doesn’t work anymore.

@Playteaux1 Serious question: Why are you worrying about a few percent of the population? And, a population who put their life on the line for the US. Rather, focus on the much higher percentage of Americans on welfare, or who pay no federal income tax.

Can we bring back real women who don’t wear tons of makeup, false eyelashes, etc. are polite, respectful, and most of all are NOT sleeping with 20 other guys at the same time? Funny story: I went on a date, was my normal polite self. We got back to my house, opened a bottle of wine. We’re in the kitchen and my date stealthfully opened the bottom cabinet and then sighed with relief. I asked her what that was about and she said well, you’re well groomed, well spoken, polite, and a gentleman, I was really worried you were gay until I saw your cookware. 😂

All the problems you’re having have one root cause. Are you familiar with root cause analysis? The cause is devaluation of the US dollar; this makes everything for you more expensive It also affects us boomers because our retirement savings and everything else is worth less. The two recent historical events which had the greatest impact were the release of Covid and the overhyping of the pandemic, allowing ridiculous amounts of Covid funds and fraud to go unchecked. The second thing was the inflation reduction act which caused more inflation. We lost over 20% of the value of our dollar during the Biden administration. Think about that. 20% loss in just four years. That’s why you’re struggling not because of anything us boomers did

The boomers didn’t devalue the dollar, Congress and societal shifts did. When more women entered the workforce real wages shrank When Congress exploded the debt the value of a dollar shrank The two combined have made life unaffordable Boomers suffers as much as anyone as our retirement savings is worth less forcing us to work into our 70s and 80s

If you’re making $71K a year, are you: -buying a house? Smaller and cheaper is better, just stop paying rent. -putting money into a ROTH Retirement account? -do you have a three, five, and 10 year plan? -are you debt free? -do you spend a significant amount on media, Cable TV, eating out, expensive car or clothes? Your boomer dad is not successful because he got there first, he’s successful because he made good choices.

My boomer dad retired at 62. Full pension. Paid off house. Medicare at 65. Social security at 67. Told me at Thanksgiving, I just need to be more disciplined with my money, I make $71,000. Rent is $1,900. I have $4,000 in savings. I didn't say anything. I passed the rolls. But here's what i wanted to say: Your pension was defunded by lobbyists your generation elected. Your social security is solvent because mine is still paying in. Your houseis worth $800,000 because mine costs $600,000. You didn't build differently. You just got there first.

I’ll give you an honest answer from someone who retired after 22 years. The thing that attracted me to the military were the people I worked with who were in the military. They had a different work ethic and a straightforward honesty that I respected. The value of military service today is learning how to be a team player, understand chain of command, maintain personal and professional integrity, and be comfortable with a little adversity. These are skills and traits that are significantly lacking in the civilian community.

Yes. There are many roles in our military, which can be managed by women. The maturation and self discipline learned in Boot Camp can benefit everyone. Before a draft, we need a pre-military conditioning course. 75% of our military age citizens are not fit to serve. Another great benefit would be to get these people away from crime, physically healthy, away from psychotropic over-medication, detox from illicit drugs, and most of all off of social media.

This is a great example of cultural Marxism. Marxism is based on the paradigm of everyone is either oppressed or an oppressor. In this case, the oppressor is white people and the oppressed is everyone else. Labeling someone an oppressor facilitates the excuse that property may be stolen, and violence is appropriate if the oppressed feel offended. They don’t kill you because you are a Nazi. They call you a Nazi so they have an excuse to kill you.

Barry, I’ll answer your question. Think about this like a computer programmer. You create this bio computer that’s biphasic (male female), and the programming is perfect (a.k.a. Adam and Eve). But this guy you fired from your company infects your bio computer with malware (a.k.a. Satan getting Eve and then Adam to eat the apple). You wait a few thousand years to see if it’ll work out, but the programming has gone sideways. So you create a patch to correct the programming and cancel out the malware. This is delivered by Jesus Christ. Now, look at the teachings of Jesus Christ and how he knowingly sacrificed himself. This is the programming for salvation. Does that help you understand?

So I watched "The Passion of the Christ" last night. And I am on my back deck tonight thinking. Think about this. In the movie, they have beaten him to near death and when they first take him to his cross, Jesus clings to it, and the thief chastised him for embracing his own cross. Mocking him for doing so. Then Christ gave all he had to carry that cross which weighed as much as him.. They beat him while he did. It came to the point that his physical body couldn't carry it any longer, so a man was ordered to carry it with him. Yet Christ still clung to the cross. Do you know why? Because he knew at the other end of that short journey was OUR freedom. Not his.... OURS..... with every single step, with every drop of blood, with every single tear, he knew he was one moment closer to being at the right hand of the Father and his mission complete to free us all. The man embraced the cross. Begged God to forgive the men nailing him to it. Begged God to forgive those that had beaten him with whips and canes and hammered a crown of thorns on his head. He embraced it all.... for US...... And now, when times get hard and life gets even slightly uncomfortable, we claim that "God isn't listening and won't take my burden" as if we even know what a real burden is... How many times would we cling to the proverbial cross for another and suffer as he did to free them from the pain? Would we ever do it at all? Maybe for our own child? Maybe? As you lay down tonight, pray a prayer of thanks. Not for the normal things. Not tonight. Tonight, pray a special prayer of thanks that he held on to that cross and carried it as far as his mortal body would allow... because that took more dedication than any of us could give for anyone. By the time you wake up in the morning, he will have risen, 2000 years ago. He will have beat death. 2000 years ago, all the sin you and I will ever commit was paid for because he clung to that cross like it was a lifeline.... not for him... But for you and me.

I hate to play into generational stereotypes, but they can feel very real sometimes. I was traveling with my family last night, and we were in the hotel hot tub with two baby boomer couples. They were going off about how much golf they’re playing. The conversation shifted to the war, and first they complained about Trump’s speech interrupting their shows, then about how the war is hurting their retirement accounts. It was amazing to me that two couples who probably don’t have more than 15 years left didn’t say one thing about their posterity for a whole hour, but talked about golf, TV, and stock prices. I’m a millennial, but I have daily conversations with multiple people from Gen Z, and the attitude feels completely different. Gen Z seems optimistic but realistic. They know the fate of the future is in their hands, and they’re focused on making sure things are better for their future kids. I honestly don’t know what happened to the baby boomers. I know many are great, but many can also be intolerable.

Interesting that you bring up brainwashing. Brainwashing has been used on all generations, but Gen Z has been subjected to a perfect storm of media, hyper-communication through electronics, and pharmaceuticals. We boomers have the benefit of 50-70 years of experience. There are four steps to brainwashing; see if you recognize any of them. 1) distract with a crisis. 2) have authority figures repeat a narrative. 3) recruit those vulnerable into a tribe, encouraging group think. 4) provide emotional reward for perpetuating, tribal narratives.
