@bcherny any chance we can get Claude Code to stop sandbagging time estimates on effort? I'm designing neural networks with Claude and it keeps telling me "We could do this but it's a month of strict engineering and data processing" when we both know it'll be done in an hour.

@trq212 I have a habit of manually compacting my context to markdown when I get to around 50% of my context window. This allows me to read/change the context in the markdown file before starting the next session with it. Is this outdated and unnecessary now?

I think "prompting" will keep being an incredibly high-leverage skill, like writing or public speaking. It is the skill of talking to agents, mediated by the harness. My main goal is to grow the bandwidth between humans and agents, to help us understand each other better.

I underestimated how close Dispatch+Cowork+Code in the desktop app gets me to what I want. I think my actual ask is being able to target multiple machines/desktop with the dispatch, and being able to target multiple running sessions on a single machine. I want to parallelize.

Next step is hooking it up to Slack, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Bitbucket, Salesforce, whatever and exposing it to my org as a new resource vis Slack. Then scaling it. I feel like we are really close to this.

@trq212 how close are we to installing Claude Code and Cowork on a Mac Mini and using Dispatch as the surface to communicate tasks to Claude that it can farm to Cowork and/or Code sessions? I think we are close, maybe just missing Dispatch as orchestrator of multi Code sessions.

Using Opus 4.6 with the 1M context window makes working with large codebases much more predictable! Im adding a new feature to the Elisa IDE where agents request meetings with the user for asset design, documentation, testing strategy and more. 1M context makes this possible.
