We will be closed to the public on Saturday due to the winter storm. Free straw is available on our front porch to help insulate outdoor pet shelters. Reminder: Use straw—not blankets, towels, or hay. Those materials can trap moisture and freeze, and hay can mold.

All adoptable cats will be staying in foster homes this week. If you're interested in adopting, please visit our website to view them and complete an application. Our dogs are in a separate wing and were not affected. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please come on over!

Thank you to the Franklin Fire Department and kennel technicians for their swift response to a small fire contained to a dryer Sunday. All animals and staff are safe. While it smells like a campfire, the air quality is good, and there was no damage.

Our next rabies and microchip clinic at @wcanimalcenter is 6/29 from 9am-11am. Rabies shots are $10. Microchips are $15. Please keep your pets safe this July 4th. Chip them and keep them inside this year. Shelters are full!
