This is what’s so frustrating about our opening fixtures. Suns, North, Port getting gifted these amazing opening games, a team off one win gets GC/Syd/Gee/Freo and by the time we get to play the crap sides all our blokes are in for surgery.

@wcebfpod @LeeTatts every team is better than us tho, so every fixture is difficult. in recent years i’ve complained about playing the weaker teams early in the year bc it means they are fresh, less banged up and less gettable. the problem isn’t the fixture, it’s the club.

@J6otti It doesn’t, it means by the time we play the crap teams half the list is injured including the senior pillars we’re putting around our army of kids. So those games become harder and your season looks a lot worse than if we’d started with, say, North’s piss easy open.
