🇸🇦 New: Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser warned investors Monday that the Hormuz closure has caused “the largest energy supply shock the world has ever experienced” — with the market losing roughly 880 million barrels net so far, at 100 million barrels per week. “If the Strait of Hormuz opens today, it will still take months for the market to rebalance,” Nasser said. “If its opening is delayed by a few more weeks, normalization will last into 2027.” Oil inventories, particularly gasoline and jet fuel, “may reach critically low levels ahead of the summer driving and travel season,” he added.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Saudi Aramco reported a significant 26% jump in its first-quarter 2026 profits, reaching $33.6 billion, primarily driven by higher crude oil prices. We keep hearing new reasons for war with Iran—none convincing. “Free the oppressed” sounds noble, but where does it end? We’ve been told for decades Iran is weeks from a nuke.
