Please stop putting QR codes on TV adverts. I’m not going to open my phone camera and scan it during the <10 seconds it’s on screen. Just tell me what I need to know. Has anyone ever scanned a QR code from a TV ad?

I saw a bus on fire outside the Portland Hospital on Great Portland Street this morning. The driver told me no passengers were hurt. I left shortly after the second fire engine arrived.

We lament and complain about the collapse of media habits and the failure of traditional news outlets to adapt, but mark my words we're lurching towards a situation where broadcasters and publishers are descending on YouTube with little to no differentiation between content types. That saturation point when it arrives will drive audiences elsewhere, and outlets will be scratching their heads wondering why.

@JeremyVineOn5 @RobertJenrick @theJeremyVine I have. It was risky as he tried to rush through the gate behind me I lifted my card, and he charged into my back. I spun to confront the fare-dodger. He backed off; I went through the gate, watching him to make sure he didn't do it again to me. I expect he got through later tho!
