My evening tonight has been nothing but discussing issues with new MHRA stipulations affecting: cultivar names in registered titles; various brand names/logos; and even the usage of 'colourful' packaging. In our opinion, reading between lines, there's a clear new direction being set for UK #MedicalCannabis - and we don't fully understand the ramifications of it yet. Many brand's packaging and formal medication names on FP10 prescriptions will be changing over the coming months - with re-registration required. There will be delays to many brand's products being restocked directly because of this. We've started adding formal Rx/PCD names to listings to help clinicians match up products former names with future regulatory required titles that pharmacies will themselves require to dispense. Further, some new medication formats previously expected to launch have now also been called into question. Some would be quick to assume this is all due to a change of government, but there have also been other internal changes at the MHRA itself. We're about at our limit of how much we want to address publicly for the moment, but suffice to say - there's a lot of concern from parts of the industry over what could lay ahead. ...there's also a lot of concern from us on how these changes will affect patients, beyond already likely delaying many new batches incoming.

🚔 A patient report from Reddit of @MerseyPolice refusing to acknowledge the legality of prescription #MedicalCannabis, first legalised 1st November 2018 via an amendment to the Misuse of Drugs Act.

@MerseyPolice @MedBudUK Have you given all of your officers the necessary training around medical cannabis prescriptions& what is needed to prove that they are a legal patient? If so this officer needs disciplinary action and retraining,if not you need to train all of your officers to keep patients safe

This gets far worse @MerseyPolice, your officer appears to be both misrepresenting the law - and trying to corruptly state to the accused patient that he will sway a judge's decision in court to falsely claim that prescribed medical cannabis is illegal. Which it's not: legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2018/1055… I'll transcribe the officers comments in full below (please excuse low audio, video unedited): "Cannabis in any form is still illegal. Whether it's prescribed or not, if you're stopped by a police officer and you've got it in your possession, which you have - regardless of any prescription or authority that you have, it's illegal - and I'm telling you it's illegal - and if you want to speak to your solicitor and take me to court over it mate, then I will tell the magistrate and they will also tell you it's illegal."
