Last week, after the Labour Group's proposed motion received unanimous support at Council, the cabinet approved plans to exempt terminally ill residents from paying Council Tax. That’s what residents expect from their local Labour council: support when it matters most.

Welcome news today that the government is looking at reversing some of the changes to the Winter Fuel payment. Local Labour Councillors called for the policy & the threshold to be looked at again in October - we await further details but this is a step in the right direction. 👇
