@leemfisto ?? casting a male child would be worse. the point is that they’re not conforming to their gender assigned at birth. they can’t physically transition, it’s the apocalypse. it’s about trans and gender non-conforming people always existed and continuing to exist despite hardship.

@maryarchived it just depends who they cast for her. she’s only been Indian in the Velma series (Mindy Kaling), before that she’s been Latina (Gina Rodriguez) and Japanese (Hayley Kiyoko) but she was originally white and has been more often than not. They could’ve diversified the cast though
