HOW CAN WE BUILD THE CAMEROONIAN NATION? By reconciling ourselves with our history. By transcending what divides us to celebrate what unites us. And that begins with a duty to remember the sacrifice of our martyrs. This video is part of this duty to remember that is incumbent upon the national community. It is a tribute to our heroes of freedom, to those voices silenced by death but forever alive in our minds and hearts. Above all, it is an act of recognition towards the most illustrious among them, of whom Ruben Um Nyobè is undoubtedly the emblematic figure. He was assassinated on 13 September 1958, in Nyong-et-Kellé, for dreaming of a free, sovereign and united Cameroon. This short video is a modest contribution to this duty of remembrance. Because you cannot build a nation without honouring its builders. I want us to build the Cameroonian nation together in the peaceful course of a national narrative that aims at our common greatness.
