Imagine that in 1936 you were forced to accept a definition of "anti-German" stating that it was racist and anti-German to single out Nazi Germany for criticism or to criticise its policies disproportionately compared to the amount of time you spent criticising other nations.

Just when it doesn't seem possible that Australia's reputation can sink further into a mire of injustice and racism, the government in Canberra proposes to deny Chelsea Manning a visa and deny her right to free speech. When will Australians take action against such outrages?

The Guardian describes the late John McCain as a "war hero". As a pilot in Vietnam, McCain cravenly bombed a mostly undefended country of civilians. When he was skilfully brought down, his life was saved by the very people he was trying to harm. A true American plastic hero.

@MarkNeary1 NHS currency is stress & fear. Great that most symptoms have cleared. Remember stress can cause pain esp in stomach. Keep telling your body it's fine and not to worry til you get results. Thinking of you.

Phoned hospital about my scan results. Was told it could be anytime between 2 weeks & 3 months before I hear. Thankfully, apart from the odd stomach cramps, the long list of symptoms have disappeared.
