@BillyReinhardt It would be great if Jordy would fully understand the assignment and not take time outs when the opposing team is on a run. He just does not get it.

@notoriousbknets @NetsDaily Considering the lineups for both teams, this is not the NBA - this is basically a NBA G-League game charging NBA prices.

There are 2.7M Brooklynites, millions more New Yorkers are a Subway stop or two away. The Knicks sold out MSG for years with subpar teams. Basketball fans will show up just to watch the NBA. This is not surprising.

@erikslater_ This game is already over. Wizards have set the standard on how to tank at a master class level.

Yeah, I’m not sure if the Nets can lose this game. The Wizards’ available players are very bad and playing with horrendous effort. There’s already been at least four defensive possessions where Washington has let Brooklyn walk to the rim.

@SAINTNET1 @joetsai1999 Most important 4 games the last 4 years. It would be malpractice by this organization to play Claxton, Clowney, Mann, Johnson, Minott etc. Active roster should be the following 8 players (minimum required): Traore, Powell, Saraf, Wilson, Scott, Smith, Agbaji, and Liddell

Next 4 games: Wizards, Bucks, Pacers, Bucks Please for the love of God don't have a repeat of last season. There is nothing to prove. We don't need to evaluate Clax, Mann, Clowney and Zaire anymore. Next 4 games are the most important games of the season. @joetsai1999

@rydunleavy @bigblueview In the 18 drafts that Harbaugh was with the Ravens, pick 55 was the highest they took a RB - Ray Rice in 2008 and JK Dobbins in 2020. Ravens did take two LBs (Mosley and Queen) and one safety (Hamilton) in 1st Round. Ravens highest pick during that time was #6 (Ronny Stanley).

@AlexC_NJD There will probably be no movement on Fitzgerald’s future until the Quinn Hughes decision on whether he signs an extension with the Wild is made in July. Fitzgerald and Jim Hughes are close going back to their time playing at Providence. The relationship matters.

@BillyReinhardt He is 6’1”, 165 lbs and from Nashville - he will return to Vanderbilt for another season to get stronger and avoid the 2026 draft. Vanderbilt NIL will also provide enough incentive to return.

@AlexC_NJD The Nemec deal that would make sense (and factor in the cap space match and time in the league) would be a Nemec for Knies deal.

@WKRP77 Usually when a player switches agents, it means they’re looking for a change of scenery

@AlexC_NJD I get that he could want a change of scenery. What additional leverage will a new agent have to make that happen vs his previous agent requesting the same thing? He is just finishing up his entry level deal.

@AlexC_NJD If anything, the Devils are selling and not buying. Ownership is punting to offseason. Quinn Hughes is still a possibility bc they still want to play together and confirmed more so last week. And remember, Fitz and Jim Hughes are close going back to Providence days.

@PodThorn Considering how the Nets are managing their roster for these games when other teams are doing everything in their power to tank, the Nets grade of D+ is too high. They should create a new grade of F- for the Nets.

@JfromBk @utahjazz Ethics went out the window a long time ago when it comes to tanking. It is way overdue for this organization to truly "compete" like everyone else is when it comes to tanking. Picking 8 last year should have been enough of a wake up call for Marks and Fernandez.

@PodThorn I agree with your assessment. Right now, who is a core piece on this team? Egor and Nolan appear to be long-term pieces/rotational players, Sharpe potentially bc of his body and rebounding and Powell has the athleticism you want. Clowney is what?

@WKRP77 They have the assets to get back in the draft. They should be aggressive and stack talent. They should also be checking in on players teams can’t use. I think Noa Essengue is a better basketball player than Clowney, Nolan/Egor Drake AJ Dybantsa Noa Essengue Bidunga. Wow

Why not take Hartenstein off of OKC hands for Claxton? Hartenstein has the longer contract for a little more money they would like to get off. Take back a pick or exchange a 2026 1st rd pick for a future. Or! A couple 26 2nd rd picks. OKC is the path back in the 1st rd in 2026

@BrettSiegelNBA A much bigger issue going on with what Utah just did. Teams “tanking” would set the lineup prior to the game and allow a gambler to know who is playing or not. Utah’s approach changes this completely from a gambling perspective and questions the integrity of the specific game.

A lot of team will begin doing this over the next couple of months, and it’s why the NBA will adjust tanking rules before the 2026-27 season. But it’s hard to see how these type of in-game adjustments can be made because at the end of the day, it is a “coach’s decision.”
Josh Robbins@JoshuaBRobbins

Add this to the tanking files. The Jazz led the Magic 94-87 going into the fourth quarter tonight. Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr. had already combined for 49 points, but they were held out for the entire fourth. Utah lost the game 120-117.
