Some of us are seeing rain, some of us are wishing it would rain. Gotta love the summertime miss-and-hit showers this time of year! At least nothing is severe!! #TNwx #MSwx #ARwx

Good news! The severe thunderstorm watch has been dropped around the Mid-South! Showers and thunderstorms will continue for the next few hours, but the severe weather threat has diminished significantly over the past hour. #TNwx #MSwx #ARwx

Showers and thunderstorms are still around the Mid-South, but fortunately, the severe weather threat appears to be diminishing quickly. Still keeping an eye on some showers and storms in Eastern #ARwx and Northern #MSwx. Showers and storms continue through ~10 PM #TNwx

While parts of the Mid-South have been taken out of the severe thunderstorm watch, the core/heart of the Mid-South is still under a watch until 8 PM. I don't believe this will get extended in time or in coverage area. #TNwx #ARwx #MSwx

While sub-severe, a relatively strong line of thunderstorms is moving through Northern #MSwx this afternoon. 50 mph winds, heavy rain and lightning are all within this storm as it slides to the southeast at around 20 mph.

Showers and thunderstorms have developed around the Mid-South over the past couple of hours, and specifically in Shelby County, over the past ~30 minutes. Nothing is severe locally, but keeping an eye on the area! Showers will linger until ~10 PM #TNwx #ARwx #MSwx

Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to fall around the Mid-South, but fortunately, the rain isn't staying as still/stagnant as it was an hour or two ago. Keeping an eye on the thunderstorms in Northeast #ARwx but up to this point, everything is 'behaving' #MSwx #TNwx

Most of the Mid-South has been dry on Friday, and fortunately, the areas that have seen quite a bit of rain [near the Tennessee River] have been able to dry out a bit. Keeping an eye on a few clusters of storms in Western #TNwx but nothing is REALLY gaining my attention.

Showers and thunderstorms are moving to the northwest at around 40 mph. 50 mph wind gusts, heavy rain and lightning is possible with these storms until they start to truly weaken. These will move through Northern #MSwx before they reach Western #TNwx and Eastern #ARwx

A severe thunderstorm watch is in place for all of Northern #MSwx until 10 PM. Keeping an eye on some storms in East Central and Northeastern Mississippi as I type this out. Winds are the biggest potential issue this evening.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for McNairy County in Western #TNwx and Alcorn County in Northeastern #MSwx until 7 PM. There are other counties just outside of the viewing area under the watch, too, but I do think this will get canceled earlier than 7 PM locally.

During the summer, most people won't complain about below average temperatures [just like during the winter, most won't complain about it being above average!]. Monday's temps will be below average around the Mid-South and it will be an AWESOME day! Enjoy it!! #TNwx #MSwx #ARwx

While the main batch of showers/storms is moving to the east, there is development occurring to the east. This could allow for some training of showers/storms to occur on grounds that are already quite wet from the past couple of days. Flash flooding is the biggest threat. #TNwx

Not expecting anything crazy out of these showers/storms, but they are slowly moving east in Northeast #ARwx. Heavy rain and lightning is the biggest potential issue out of these, especially with an already wet ground. Should move into West #TNwx/Northern #MSwx over the next hour

While it isn't going to be obnoxiously hot around the Mid-South on Tuesday, it is going to be quite humid. Due to this, a heat advisory has been issued for Northeast #ARwx, the #MOwx Bootheel, parts of Western #TNwx and Northeast #MSwx. Keep cool and stay hydrated!

Warm and muggy night ahead for the Mid-South, but considering what some areas not too far from us saw on Sunday, this ain't too bad. Expecting some more afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms around the Mid-South on Monday, but they shouldn't be too crazy. #TNwx #MSwx #ARwx

A cluster of storms east of Little Rock #ARwx is moving to the northeast at around 35 mph. If it continues at the same pace and direction, it should approach Shelby County #TNwx around 10 PM. Not expecting severe weather, but 25-30 mph winds/heavy rain/lightning will be possible.
