Early summer temperatures are expected around the Mid-South on Friday. Temperatures will make an attempt to reach 90° although I anticipate most cities/towns falling a couple degrees short of that. Gotta love southerly winds this time of the year!! #TNwx #MSwx #ARwx #MOwx

There are no longer any severe thunderstorm warnings around the Mid-South, but a watch is still in place for parts of Northeast #ARwx, Northwest #TNwx and the Bootheel of #MOwx until 9 PM. Was hoping the rain would be a little more widespread tonight, but that wasn't the case

There is a severe thunderstorm warning in place for portions of Northwestern #TNwx including Dyer County as well as the #MOwx Bootheel [including Pemiscot County] until 8:15 PM for the potential of 1" hail. This storm is moving to the southeast at around 30 mph.

The severe thunderstorm watch now has portions of Northwestern #TNwx under it until 9 PM. Hail continues to be the biggest threat, followed by wind. The tornado threat for this event is not very high. Still in a wait-and-see game for most of the Mid-South. #ARwx #MOwx #MSwx

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Northeast #ARwx and Southeast #MOwx [including the Bootheel] until 9 PM. Large hail and strong winds are possible and an isolated tornado can't be ruled out. It is possible that this watch extends further east later tonight.

While Wednesday evening will be dry around the Mid-South, we are expecting rain showers and even thunderstorms to return near sunrise on Thursday and then sunset on Thursday. AM hours have an overall better chance of rain, but the PM hours have a better chance of stronger storms.
