Today, I spent time with a young person who had just been given the worst news- the importance of #YouthWork in hospitals is being a non-clinical person able to ask if they wanted to talk about it or something completely different #YouthWorkWeek #HospitalYouthWork

#YouthWork can often be misunderstood as a ‘fluffy’ job full of pizzas and trips out, but it is Soooooo much more and I often feel like a dishevelled pigeon rather than a graceful swan #YouthWorkWeek

Comedian and TV star Romesh Ranganathan recently visited the @TeenageCancer Young Person’s Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, spending time with the young adults on the unit ⭐ . The YPU ensures each person is treated as a young person first, cancer patient second 🥰 .
