Ochanya - Yoruba women showed up. Ozoro festival - Yoruba women spoke out. Women’s issues across the country - we contributed and supported including tagging Lagos DVSA even on issues outside Lagos. But suddenly, none of you who make feminism your entire personality are mentioning this. So is it now acceptable to dehumanise people just because the victims are Yoruba women? The same people who consistently show up for others? You call out tribalism and misogyny every day, yet when it’s time to stand for Yoruba women, there’s silence. #noticing
Oyíndà@yorubachic

Yoruba women have faced enough bigotry on this app to last generations. God will punish anyone who ever tries to gaslight us again. This is someone who claims to be a feminist and against bigotry.

They have always had the fearless warrior blood pumping in their veins; they are just very calculated. Their foremothers, led by Funmilayo Ransom Kuti, dethroned a sitting Alake of Egbaland with a peaceful protest as far back as 1949. They won on all three reasons: taxation was removed, female representation became a custom till today in government, and the king (Oba Ademola II) was forced to abdicate the throne. They only stopped after all their demands were met. When they decide to fight, they fight to a standstill until the opposing threat surrenders completely.

Those tweets are vile, toxic and concerning. @Risevest is a very fine organization and this is not what they should be associated with in any shape or form. Rather than locking her account, she needs to apologize for those despicable tweets over the past few years.
Mr. Dhikr@MrDhikr

Otas Evbuomwan, Operations Lead at Risevest, has been making bigoted tweets about Yoruba women since 2013, unprovoked. It’s 2026 and she’s still doubling down on her extremely vile tweets about the Yorubas. A disgusting human being.

This is exactly what led to the Gele vs Ichafu debate. Every ethnic group has its own headwear, but the style and identity are not the same. You can’t take a red cap, style it in a Yoruba Fìlà form, and still call it an Igbo red cap. In the same way, you can’t style Ichafu in a Yoruba Gele form and still call it Ichafu. That’s not originality, it’s mislabeling. And mislabeling is how cultural identity gets blurred.

So Yorùbá people are so powerful to influence the attitudes of South Africans&to tell them who the drug pushers are? An assignment: Run a crime statistics from 2010-2026 about Drug related arrests in Nigerian Airports esp MMIA. Prove it wrong, it's what South Africans see.
OLUCHI🫦 ( you have no funder)@Phatbabeluuu

Just like some of you were messaging South Africans and telling them it was Igbo people spoiling their country, no be all us Dey suffer from the xenophobic attacks? Some of you do things in the moment, forgetting there is a future.

I am a magnet for wealth, and abundance flows to me effortlessly from multiple streams. My health is my greatest asset. My body is strong, my mind is sharp, my spirit is unshakable. Money comes to me in expected and unexpected ways. I am financially free. I am building generational wealth. My children’s children will eat from the trees I plant today. I affirm. 🍀

@OgunmolaBolaji what is the point of blocking me? Not that it matters to me but truth should not be too bitter to say even if it cannot be swallowed. I asked that you apologize as a fellow Yoruba woman and that you correct. That should not be too much to do. I don’t watch your channel quite alright because I do not like your themes, first time I came across the channel I was like oh this will be interesting but then your themes is not compatible with my expectations, at least as of today. Asking you to apologize and correct is not too much, as a fellow entrepreneur, I give u credit for doing whatever you are doing to survive but endorsing stereotypes is not a noble way, it is truly disheartening hearing that line in your movie and you played the part yourself. Life isn’t a bed of roses, if u just apologize and acknowledge your wrong same people will praise you because so far none of the people who had done that when they thought it was ok had apologized. Anyway, it is your twitter page. Aabọ ọrọ la n sọ fun ọmọluabi, otitọ koro. You saying nothing means you are not sorry and blocking people means you are not sorry. I bliv Jade Osiberu got more critic than you did for her provocative productions, she did not block most people. Your own staple is Southern Nigeria Alliance, that is your believe it seems, if that alliance is meant to diminish and disparage one race for the other I hope you will not regret in the future. Wetin ọmọde awa bayii mọ.

@Cuntosaur made a lot of derogatory tweets not only about Yorùbá women but also Edo women. She also celebrated cross border prostitution. The big question is, do @Risevest align with these views? Let's inform them about this development at hello@risevest.com If you also have a LinkedIn account. Please take the battle there!
