@CinDayLAX Recognize Franklin for their efforts. They beat the #3 team in the region (according to the coaches poll) and Franklin isn’t in the top 10. I see it as a slight upset because Franklin is better than CinDayLax gives them credit for.

Bellbrook cementing position in D2 with a victory over Indian Hill. Franklin pulls off a slight upset knocking of CHCA and that’ll shake up the poll a bit. Springboro can’t get it going against the Pennsylvania foe. Mariemont TCOB against Summit. x

Sycamore pulls away in the second half after a very tight low scoring first half of the game. Oakwood took a 4-0 lead but Agent Zero gives Fenwick the 1 goal lead with a 1:00 to go to ice it. Milford doesn’t play around with Little Miami.

@avoneagles Playing multiple sports is good for athletes. There’s a lot of research to support this. Use different muscles, lift different weights, and other sports make them better football players…

This is not good for high school football and absolutely not good for all high school sports.

NEW: New York City driver intentionally plows her car into an NYPD officer, telling authorities she wanted to teach him a "lesson." This is what happens when you convince people that cops are the enemy. Terrible. Sahara Dula, who is a criminal justice graduate, was driving the wrong way when a police officer confronted her. "I told the cop I wanted to go straight, and he wouldn’t move, so I hit him. I did it on purpose,’’ Dula said to investigators. “F**k these cops! He wouldn’t move! F**k these cops, it’s a lesson to him, and hopefully he doesn’t want to be a cop anymore." Dula also admitted to being high on marijuana. She was *not* charged with attempted murder but was instead charged with first-degree attempted assault as well as other charges. The officer suffered a broken leg.

@CinDayLAX @CoachCastner It’s bad. You get coaches from other sports telling kids that it doesn’t matter what sport you’re playing…theirs is the priority. Going so far as to visit them in class to tell them to come to “optional” weight training.

@CoachCastner What about when kids miss optional off-season football workouts for other sports? Hearing a lot of hypocrisy on this from Mason-ites on this. Too many coaches say one thing but their actions speak differently.

After witnessing the Steel City tournament, I'm frustrated with the amount of teams who want to play down in search of wins. 20 teams played in the MS division. 16 elected to play "B". If you win all your pool games by 10+ goals, are you happy? Did you get better?

@whiotv One of the best female lacrosse players in the Dayton area is sitting out of her game at Oakwood tonight. She is sitting out due to bullying of her Miamisburg teammates.

@Jhilde_rr @CinDayLAX The problem is that the refs aren’t calling fouls, sometimes call it one way and other times call it another. It confuses players and drives coaches batty. If you shove someone in the back, it’s a foul. New players don’t understand advantage/disadvantage. Just make the call.

@WOW_Lax @CinDayLAX I agree. Never reason to argue with a ref. 💯 all my point is that a super explosive sport in Ohio with little talent that grew up playing game = low number of refs and even lower number that really understand the flow of the game. Support em all and let’s not berate grow game

20 Middle School Boys games had to be cancelled tonight due to lack of referees. A few things need to happen: 1) We need volunteers 2) We need to stop abusing refs 3) We need ADs to schedule HS and MS on different nights. We can't grow the game if we can't play the game.
