In South Korea, some tall buildings have small gravity escape systems where you clip in, release a brake, and gently lower yourself to safety, without any electricity needed.

I await Governor General Mary Simon's condolence video in French. The Taiwan and Canada trade cooperation framework agreement was finished in March 2025. It's just awaiting the PM's signature. What could be the delay? Especially when the government has been busy signing MOUs with other countries with far fewer tangible benefits to Canada.

The announcement was timed to Tolkien Reading Day. The story takes place 14 years after The Return of the King. Sam, Merry, and Pippin reunite and set off on a new journey. At the same time, Sam’s daughter Elanor begins her own adventure and uncovers secrets dating back to the War of the Ring. The cast has not been revealed yet, but actors from the original trilogy are expected to return. The script is written by Philippa Boyens, Peter McGee, and Stephen Colbert. The producer is Peter Jackson. Colbert said the idea grew out of early chapters of The Fellowship of the Ring that were not included in the films — where the hobbits meet Tom Bombadil and nearly die. It remains unclear how this storyline will connect with the older characters 14 years later.

@niknanos Interesting result your March 24 poll. A pretty significant move back to the Conservatives (but still a double digit Liberal lead). With Carney buying a majority in floor crossings, I don’t see him risking an election w such volatility & his poor performance in ‘25’s election.
