@hanleyPa @Classicbritcom Superlative Nolan Sister knowledge there, Paul. (I was just about to post the same!) 😎

@GavinBuckland1 @PatricRidge What a memory but now you say it - it was so annoying at the time.
English

@PatricRidge Different days Patric but in 84-85 most of our kick-offs went out across the pitch for throw-ins! Nothing new.
English

The quality of the Premier League hasn’t been great for years, so not sure why this is a surprise to people.
But also, PSG quite literally won the lot last year and in every game they punted it straight out for a throw from kick-off.
It really doesn’t matter.

Elite footballers reduced to rugby union. Seriously, what’s the point if this is our game now?
English

@AlanRolfe1 No. The Evertonian copper from 24hrs in Police Custody.

@terry__smith @blackrodblue You’re in the same stand as us, Terry. Row 16.

@terry__smith And another Factory link. Jez Kerr’s (a certain ratio) uncle played for us.
English

@WSAGraham Tenuous link to Everton -
‘Forever Everton’ was written by 10CC bass player, Graham Gouldman, after a chance meeting at a Neil Sedaka show at the Wooky Hollow and recorded at Strawberry Studios.

@GavinBuckland1 Ohhh. That will have me thinking all afternoon at least.
English

@WSAGraham Fantastic fact Graham, remember talking about singles where the sides were the opposite. These two, "Girlfriend in a coma" and "Girlfriend is better" plus "She's gone" and the "Bitch is back".
English

@WSAGraham @AndyMitten Any relation to Stuart Ennis by any chance being an Everton fan ?
English

@WSAGraham That’s a shame mate. Would’ve been nice to see you. I have to get in early.
Hope your team lose tonight.
English

@AlanRolfe1 @GoodisonHistory Me too. Leaflets were handed out in the Paddock too.

The lotus eaters only ever had one hit. Poor Pete obviously had several off us in that tournament. Purely accidental, as we were all shit

@FanzineFC @dialm4merthyr These lads beat us on penalties in a fanzine football tournament in Cardiff. Kicked out star player off the park. Our star player - Peter Coyle from ‘First Picture Of You’ and Eight Records fame.
English

@marley_ferg Still not sure if I’m enjoying it, it is a very challenging drama and very slow. However, typically, beautifully done, very clever, the wife hated it and has bailed
English

The automated answering machine voice on Pluribus has to be Howard Hamlin from Better Call Saul. I don’t know the actors name. I’m not Googling, I’m avoiding spoilers. @marley_ferg
English

@AnthonyTeasdale You are right. Certainly in Liverpool. There were ‘student’ places like the Mardi and Macs but everywhere else you had to wear work/school kecks and shoes.

@dialm4merthyr This little beauty just arrived in the post. Very handy April written on the cover but no year, 1990 I think. Great work, we're told that you are tied with Moor Green with 3 W/L/D each, an article about Madchester fashion, news of a 0-0 draw at Darlo and much more!

English

@TimSmith2021 Not quite but there’s always songs. This is different to anything he’s done.
English

Listening to pretty much wall-to-wall The Pale Fountains, Shack, Michael Head & TREB…& of course there’s a distinctive & recurring feel to all the songs - it’s as if the songs are deeply internalised in the writer’s psyche; not just memorised but lived-in. #HeadMusic
