⚠️ We are currently dealing with a fire at Bury Hill, Houghton. Approx. 150 hectares of crops are alight and we have six fire engines, six off-road vehicles and two water carriers at the scene.

Today the crew recruited some future Firefighters at Cottis Pre-School, followed by visit to Hurstpierpoint College, finishing with some Home visits.
We installed 4 smoke detectors to properties that were unprotected today.

A 999 call can now switch to video.
New technology allows London Fire Brigade to see, as well as listen, during an emergency. 999EYE allows callers to live stream from smart phones.
It’s an improvement to @LondonFire’s control room after Grenfell, as @RagsMartel reports
