OUT OF NOWHERE 🔗highschoolot.com/story/1a-4a-gi… West Stanly had its back against the wall, but not the mat. The Colts girls wrestling team rallied from third-to-first in the final day of the NCHSAA 1A-4A girls wrestling individual championships, taking home its first title in the sport. West Stanly finished with 48 points on Friday, two ahead of day one leader Rosewood. And the Colts did it without an individual champ, though they did have one runner-up and two third-place finishers. Uwharrie Charter freshman Riley White was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament, finishing a 37-0 season with the 132-pound title. Khiry Reese of Rosewood won her second straight championship, the only back-to-back champ in the classification.
